Thursday Special @ Ee Chinese Cuisine, Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya
Starting from July to September 2013, Ee Chinese Cuisine, Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya introduces a special menu of finest Cantonese cuisine prepared by the Chef Chef Yong Kam Wah and his team on every Thursday. Guests will be also serenaded by J Musical Live Band who will be performing evergreen Chinese and English hits from the 70’s and 80’s. The band will be performing 2 sets from 7.30pm-8.15pm and 8.45pm -9.30pm
Let’s take a look at some of the dishes featured in the special Thursday menu!
A visually stunning dish to attract the eyes even before it was savored! The duo of appetizers of Prawn in Yam Puff Pastry and Japanese Kurobuta Pork Skewers were awesomely tantalizing which left a lasting impression and was my favourite dish of that evening!
The light and crispy batter encasing a creamy smooth mashed yam and bouncy prawn, a lovely marriage of flavors and satisfying textures. The Kurobuta pork prized for juiciness and tenderness didn’t disappointed us too with its nice charred smokey flavor coupled with hints of lemongrass and also perk up the flavor was the house signature green chili sauce.
The waiting staff meticulously cutting up the duck for us.
Revealing the eight treasures stuffed in the duck such as mushroom, water chestnut, lotus seed, roast pork, chestnut, Chinese sausage and oyster. The duck was utterly tender and the eight treasures gave it a multitude of textures of flavors.
Thumbs up for the hard work of the chef and kitchen team for preparing us this almost extinct dish. A lot of tedious works were involved before this good looking dish served on our table include deboning a chicken down to its skin and layering the different ingredients on the skin.
The colourful layers of chicken skin, fish paste, seaweed, salted egg yolk and almond flakes had made it a unbeatable combination that drawn you back in for another serving. I especially love the crunchy almond flakes layers, oh so yummy~~
The mini parcel of lotus leaf rice was brimming with chicken, Chinese sausage, salted egg yolk and mushroom. The glutinous rice was nicely done, soft and bursting with flavors.
Promotion starts from RM 30++ per portion. For bookings, please call Ee Chinese Cuisine at 03 -7628 7338.
