Yen Can Cook: Honey Soy Sauce Roasted Chicken
Sam requested for pasta for her dinner last Monday, so I roasted some chicken drumsticks to go with it. I marinated the chicken overnight and the chicken came out full of flavors, fingers licking good literally 🙂
Ingredients
6 chicken drumsticks
Marinade
6 tablespoons soy sauce
5 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon ginger juice
1 teaspoon rice wine
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 1: Clean and pat dry the chicken drumsticks. Make 2 slits on the thicken part of the chicken, this will let the marinade absorb easier into the meat.
Ste 2: Combine all marinade ingredients and marinate the chicken drumsticks for at least 3 hours in the fridge, preferably overnight.
Step 3: Preheat oven to 190°C and line the baking tray with foil. Arrange chicken on tray, keep the balance of marinade. Roast the chicken for 15 minutes.
Ste 4: Turn over the chicken and brush the marinade on the chicken, roast for 15 minutes more or until the meat is cooked through. You may brush the marinade again within this period for a more glossy finish.
Step 5: Serve.
I also roasted some cherry tomatoes for a more wholesome meal. Simply coated the tomatoes with concoction of oil oil + black pepper and roast together with the chicken.
HAPPY COOKING!
Whenever I see Chicken like this, I have a strong urge to dip them with Ayamas Chili sauce >_<
Why must Ayamas ler? =.=” But chotto matte kudasai, Ayamas produce chili sauce?
These roast chicken drumsticks are good just on their own 🙂
They are flavorful if you marinate them long enough 🙂
i think i can happily finish all three pieces of the drumsticks! 😀
I had 2pcs that day, hehe 😛
