Yen Can Cook: Teriyaki Enoki Mushroom Roll

Ingredients


10 sliced pork belly (may substitute with sliced beef)

1 packet Enoki mushroom

2 tablespoon soy sauce

2 tablespoon mirin

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon Japanese cooking sake

1 1/2 tablespoon oil

White sesame, for garnishing

Step 1: Spread the sliced pork belly flat, place enoki mushrooms on the pork then roll together. Use toothpick to set the enoki mushroom roll.

Step 2: Heat up the pan, add in some oil and pan fried the enoki mushroom rolls.

Step 3: Prepare the teriyaki sauce by mixing the soy sauce, mirin, sake and sugar. Stir to combine.

Step 4: Add the teriyaki sauce and let the mixture boil. Flip the rolls for even sauce coating.

When most of the liquid has evaporated and the sauce start to thicken, turn off the heat and the enoki mushroom rolls are ready to be served.
