Yen Can Cook: Thai Style Chicken Burger
Sam requested for a fast food dinner (burger to be precise) the other day and instead of bring her to the fast food chain, I’ve prepared her this Thai style chicken burger. To make the chicken patties more interesting, I mixed in the Lingham Thai Chili Sauce. The spiciness is acceptable by Sam and it provided a hint of sweetness to the patties.
Ingredients

250g minced chicken (makes 2)
2 burger buns
1/2 yellow onion, finely diced
1 1/2 tbsp Lingham Thai Chilli Sauce
A pinch of salt & black pepper
2 kaffir lime leaves, finely cut
Butter
1 teaspoon olive oil
Tomato, thinly sliced
Lettuce
Cheddar cheese slice
Sauteed Mushroom
Button mushroom, sliced
Butter
Salt and black pepper to taste
Dressing
Lingham Thai Chilli Sauce
Japanese mayonaise

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 1: Mix minced chicken, Lingham Thai Chilli Sauce, yellow onion, Kaffir lime leaves, olive oil, salt and pepper into a large bowl until all ingredients combine well.
Step 2: Divide into 2, and mold each piece into a meat patty shape. Cover with cling film and refrigerate until required. This will help them firm up.Β
Step 3: Spread with some butter on halved burger buns and lightly toast them in a frying pan for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Heat oil in a frying pan and then cook the meat patties for 6-7 minutes on each side over a medium heat, or until cooked through.
Step 5: Sauteed the button mushrooms with butter and season with salt and black pepper.
Step 6: Arrange each patty on a bun, top with sliced tomato, lettuce, cheese slice, sauteed mushroom and dressing. Serve with fries.
Craving for burger, why not just make your own? It’s healthier, easy and delicious!
Oh wow! This burger really looks so good. I am craving for burger now. Will need to go buy meat first. When I DIY, I prefer to use pork π
Pork patty is pretty good with this recipe too, go ahead & let me know the result.
I often make marie rose sauce with mayo and ketchup (have not tried it with chilli sauce for a spicier version).
mayo and ketchup = marie rose sauce? That’s a very nice name!
