Gold Coast Morib Resort @ Banting
Parents, the school holidays has begun, have you plan any activities /getaway for your kid(s)? Today I’m going to recommend you a great place for short escape from the city busy life.
Gold Coast Morib Resort, a 4 star resort located in Banting, alongside the spectacular shore of the Malacca straits with less than one and half hours drive from Kuala Lumpur.
Ample parking space.
Reception area at the lobby, also situated at the same floor is the restaurant where the buffet breakfast and dinner is served.
Studio Suite
Equipped with 2 single beds although I requested for a king size bed (based on availability as mentioned in the T&C). The room was spacious with a balcony facing the water theme park and the cleanliness was moderate. The bed was comfortable enough for a good night’s rest. Others amenities such hair dryer, in-room safe, mini refrigerator are available in our room too.
Gold Coast Morib Resort offering 672 well designed rooms ranging from Studio Suite, 2 & 3 Bedroom Apartments and Penthouse.
Wooden window overlooking the bathroom.
TV with satellite channel
Coffee/tea making facilities
The bathroom was fairly large too with basic toiletries and a separated shower area and the main feature in the room ~~ Private Jacuzzi!
We thought Sam would enjoy very much the jacuzzi bath but it was really out of our expectation that a toddler like her was startled by the sounds and gush of bubbles created by it. =.=” But Sam enjoyed her warm up session here nonetheless (without the massage function) before we heading to the water theme park.
The main attraction of Morib Resort is the water theme park, spanning an area of 5,574 sq meter.
This water theme park might be slightly too tiny if compare with others but respectable for a small place like that, equipped with water slides for both adults and kids, water cannons and etc.
Entrance Fee
Adult : RM 35.00
Kids (2-12 years old)- RM 20.00
Further down from the water theme park is the sandy beach facing the majestic seafront of the Straits of Malacca.
Sam have fun building her sand castle here. Don’t forget to bring along your beach toys!
View of Gold Coast Morib Resort from the beach.
ATV ride also available here too.
Assorted sea creatures captured by hubby on the beach when he had a stroll on the low tide.
Fishing activity by the locals.
We also found quite a lot of rubbish when we walk around the beach, hey people, please be more responsibility!
We enjoy the tranquility of the beach and most important was Sam as a city’s kid enjoy playing sand which she really rare to have such opportunity to do so back at home 😛
Verdict: We had a pleasant stay at Gold Coast Morib Resort and it was indeed a place to relax, rejuvenate and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are also some interesting places to be explored nearby the resort such as Banting and Tanjung Sepat. Stay tune for my next post!

Sounds like a fun place! I’ve seen many blogged about this place before, but its a bit far to travel from Penang eh 🙁
Ya, from Penang is quite far and if you travel to KL there is another bigger water theme park 😛
That’s nice to stroll along the beach. I thought we has a pleasant stay too considering the kids also love the waterpark.
Kids will never get bored of playing with water LOL
Rubbish along the beach in Malaysia’s public beaches is so common. *so sad*
RM 35.00 for that size of water park like abit pricey hoh?
Sam had a good time building her sand castle!
Wow…the easily sighted sotong & mantis prawn!
Not only beach but EVERYWHERE! *sigh*
Nice la your trip there. Mine was not good. Service and room given was very bad.
