Burger Junkyard @ The Strand, Kota Damansara
Burger joints were mushrooming at every nook and cranny of Klang Valley since last year and believe or not, I only tried one place which is Burger Junkyard I’m going to review today ^__* (An outdated foodie, lalala)
Located at the F & B hub at Kota Damansara, Burger Junkyard is adopted a clean and minimalist theme.
The youthful and catchy graffiti being featured on the walls.
Some quirky decorations.
The high tables and chairs area and the end of the restaurant, right next to the ordering counter.
The self-service ordering counter.
You will be given a furry rat attached with number after ordering and the food will be served shortly.
Are the burgers really melting your way? Let’s see~
Check out their daily lunch set featured different burgers everyday, priced at RM 13.90/set included a drink, fries and dessert.
Beef In Blanket (RM 13.90 ~ set lunch)
Burger of the day for Saturday from the set lunch menu.
Sandwiched between 2 self-baked butter brioche, their beef patty is made from grain-fed beef from Australia and paired with onion, beef bacon, cheese, tomato dressed with Hickory Smoked BBQ sauce.
The beef patty was slightly too dry and the texture was too finely minced for me but the whole combination tasted good nonetheless. The cheese used at Burger Junkyard deserves a sentence on its own. The cheeses (consisted of smoked mozzarella, pressed cheddar and process sharp cheddar) are steamed by using a special steamer rendering the steamed cheese has a softer and more moisture texture.
Steaming Cheese Burger (RM 16.90 ~ Double)
Come with choices of beef or chicken with onion and house made aioli. I was enamored with their brown sauce dipping for the fries (made from scratch). The brown sauce may looks like normal mushroom sauce but it tasted definitely more than that, come & try it yourself and you will know!
The char-grilled chicken thigh was flavorful and juicy, every mouthful hubby took was followed by an exclaimed “Ho Chiak”!
FYI, their patties come in 2 sizes, single and double; the former weighted 90g and the latter is double up the weight which is 180g.
Pineapple Fungi (RM 16.90)
Comprised of pineapple, Portobello mushroom, onions and house made aioli. A delectable juicy combination, vegetarian burger can be tasted great too!
Verdict: Been visited this place for twice and the food and service was satisfying. Got instant approval from my “boss” and revisit is predictable!

I think i’ve seen this place from other blogs before but i am not a fan of burgers…
Me too not a fan of burger, only will consume this once in a blue moon~~
I’m not a fan of burger, but their burgers looks quite juicy to me, I love the char-grilled chicken thigh, looks yummy!
Ya, the chicken thigh was juicy and well grilled, definitely better than any minced chicken patty 🙂
I sometimes also will crave for burgers. I felt hor…those messy messy type of burgers usually tastier. HAHAHA!
But I don’t like messy burger, I’ll request to omit the chili sauce/ketchup for my burger 😛
看中那素汉堡!! 加了黄梨片一定非常调味!! ^^
酸酸的黄梨帮助口水分泌,哈哈!
Yea lo…now burger place is everywhere.
Have not been here before
Too many restaurants but too little stomach space >.<
yeah, you are right, burgers are mushrooming, it’s like everywhere people go people eat burgers, everywhere people FB people post photos of burgers, everywhere people blog people write about the burgers, haha!! :p
i think the craze had been slower recently 😛
