Zest Cafe
I love exploring new place especially when I knew there is good food waiting for me š I was brought to this new shopping mall – The Sphere, nestled in Bangsar South, surroundedĀ by residential area.
Zest Cafe, occupied the corner end lot of the mall on first floor overlooking the car park & main entrance.
Open kitchen just right in front of the entrance.
Al fresco dining area.
Pristine white table cloth, dark wooden chairs, wood floor & the soft dim light assuring the pleasant & enjoyable dining experience.
Cute paintings adorning the wall.

We let the ordering task went to Jenn since she’s been here before and she really did a good job introducing all the signature dishes here to us which made us left with almost resonating burps š
Mushroom Soup
A satisfying soup ~ the mushroom bits were in abundance, my perfect bowl of goodness! Each spoonful left a very strong woody aroma of the fungi behind.
Pumpkin Soup
Creamy & velvety smooth in inviting golden hue. Very light to the palate with hint of sweetness from the pumpkin itself.
Zest Salad
Come in big portion with vibrant colours from the fresh & grilled vegetables. The crisp lettuce, grilled pumpkin, zucchini, eggplant, sautƩed prawns were lightly accented by the tangy balsamic vinegar dressing. Delicious & indulgent indeed, I can have this everyday!
Rosemary Roasted Chicken
The most raved dish by Jenn and indeed it deserved the merit! The tender chicken infused with rich herbs flavors was very impressive and served along with potatoes, tomatoes & bell peppers to complete the wholesomeness. The aroma and taste still linger in my mind & I never stopped craving for it.
Prawn Spaghetti
Pasta in pesto sauce with prawns, nothing really impressive but nothing to complain as well.
Seafood Aglio Olio
Don’t deceived by its mediocre look, this really taste awesomely good! The cooked al dente pasta tossed with olive oil, garlic, herbs and chili was tantalizing & definitely one of the stellar dish that night!
Seafood Fettuccini
The sauce was sufficiently creamy but thankfully not too thick and cloying.
There are some food designed to cater to vegetarian too here at Zest Cafe.
Vegetarian Fresh Spaghettini
The homemade noodle drenched in tomato base sauceĀ and filled with lots of mushroom, eggplant, capsicum, onion, zucchini and black olives. The minor grouch was the noodle was too soft for my liking.
Potato Carrot Kofta
Patties made from mashed potato & carrot resembled croquette was surprisingly lip-smacking! Paired it with the gravy which redolent with herbsĀ making every bite a treasure. I don’t mind go vegetarian~~Ā lol
Portabello Mushroom with Cream Spinach
Another unpretentious dish, combination ofĀ Portabello Mushroom with earthy flavor and creamy spinach, try it & tell me what do you think? I love the simplicity!
Lamb Cutlet on Ratatouille
The lamb was grilled perfectly with the marinade and the meatās original flavor complements each other so well. The flavors literally burst in my mouth after I bite into them! If you worry of consume too much of meat, the ratatouille balance out the meal impeccably.
Honey Glazed Ribs of Beef
This ribs of beef was smoked and served with a savory brown sauce, accompanying with sides of sautƩed purple cabbage & potatoes. Despite the huge slab, it was tender but still had a good bite in the meat
Spiral Sausage Meal
Being an ardent fan of sausage this definitely can make me glee with joy š This house made coil sausage used only natural casing and seasonings were added in the right doses and the result was tasty yet not too salty. Bouncy, firm & yummy!
Pan Fried Garoupa
Perhaps not enough salt or herbs rendering the tomato couscous served along to be pretty bland and I donāt like the tiny bones in the garoupa >.<
We were full to the brim but there is always room for dessert, right?
Danish Pastry Delights with Gelato Ice Cream.
Danish pastry normally not something I fancy but when it pair with the gelato ice cream, I tell you I canāt lay down my fork until the last bite! The contrast between the chilly cold ice cream & the buttery pastry was such a magic combination!
Verdict: If you are healthy & āwalletā conscious, this is the place! Huge portion, ingredients used are natural & healthy & most important the price is reasonable!

I also love the food in Zest and the friendly staffs. Their salmon is heavenly! I have never been a salmon eater until I tried it at Zest recently when my friend let me had a piece of his. Wow, salmon has never tasted that good to me. That’s why I will go back there again.
Argh… We didn’t have salmon that day, will try it when I go back, thanks for the recommendation.
