Every Chinese New Year feast will not be complete without the tossing of Yee Sang. At Makan Kitchen, diners can set their creativity to endless possibilities to create their own auspicious Yee Sang with the spread of ingredients displayed at the Yee Sang stall.

Fresh Salmon, Tuna, “Guai Fei” Abalone and Tako offered at the sashimi station to elevate the scrumptious-ness of your Yee Sang.
Here are some of the festive spread which includes a good selection of Chinese festive dishes together with other Asian and international dishes.


Appetizers:- Smoked Duck with Plum Sauce, Marinated Baby Octopus with Thai Chili Sauce, Marinated Spicy Jelly Fish & Marinated Lady Finger with Chicken Floss.







Chinese cuisine highlights include Double Boiled Soup, Salt & Pepper Flower Crabs, Steamed Fish with Supreme Soy Sauce, Stir Fried Black Pepper Lamb, Lotus Leaf Glutinous Rice, Spicy Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables, Roasted Duck, Roasted Chicken and Chicken Char Siew.

Seafood on Ice

Assorted Kerabu such as Kerabu Tempe Dan Ikan Bilis, Acar Jelatah, Kerabu Daun Ceylon with Ban Sprout, Chicken Tandoori Salad and Kerabu Makanan Laut.



The Indian corner is filled with various of pungent curries, Spinach Kuttu, Sabji Pulau, Chicken Tandoori, Fish Tikka, and freshly made Naan and Roti Canai.


Maly style hot dishes such as East Coast Style Baked Fish, Kari Kambing Kentang, Sambal Udang Petai, Kerutub Daging and Rendang Ayam Minang are great to go with rice.

Noodles Station allows diners to customize their soup noodles with choices of noodles and various of ingredients such as fish balls, Yong Tau Foo, fish cakes and vegetables. Soup options that evening were Tom Yum soup, vegetable soup and chicken soup.

There was grilled clam live station and I spotted lala clams, mussels and cockles was being cooked on hot pan with fragrant spices and chilies.






Do save some tummy space for desserts! Makan Kitchen offers a long bar of desserts from assorted Chinese New Year treats to local and international favorites of Pineapple Mouse Cake, Longan Cashew Nut Cake, Osmanthus Jelly, Chocolate Moist Cake, Mandarin Orange Cheese Cake, Mango Dacquoise, Golden Almond Peach Dome, Raspberry Financier, Milky Black Sesame Cubes, Mini Red Bean Swiss Roll. cookies and kuih-muih.

The Lin Chi Kang with assorted of ingredients definitely one of the crowd pleaser.
The Makan Kitchen Chinese New Year Buffet runs from 4 Feb to 6 Feb 2019. It is priced at RM168nett per adult and kids 6-12 years old and senior citizen can enjoy 50% discount. There is also Chinese New Year Hi -Tea Buffet which available from 5 Feb to 6 Feb 2019 at 12.30pm to 4.00pm. (RM98nett per adult and RM48nett for kids and senior citizen)

Their buffet spread is really long with yummy dishes.
