Maria’s Steakcafe @ Damansara Perdana
For my birthday celebration this year, hubby took me to Maria’s Steakcafe for a lovely meal upon my request. I was craving for steak and what birthday girl wants, birthday girl gets. ^__*

The interior simple but exudes a charm and warmth vibe under the rather dim lighting. The antique chandeliers, classic black and white checkered table clothes as well as dark wooden furniture further enhance the overall setting.

From L to R: Fresh Orange Juice, Passion Peach Tea & Passion Mojito

N.Z. Spicy Mussels (RM22.00)
Our appetizer of spicy mussels doused with spicy tomato sauce successfully whet our appetite. The crimson red sauce didn’t seem spicy at first, but the heat caught on soon after. It was spicy but at the same time pretty addictive, we mopping up the sauce clean with the garlic bread served along.

Mushroom Soup (RM9.50)
Although this was not the chunky version that I fond to but nicely executed too. Filled with sliced mushroom, the soup was smooth and creamy with pleasant earthy note.

Australian Wagyu 7 (RM95.00/100g)

With good marbling score of 7, my order of Australian Wagyu 7 cooked in medium rare (recommended by the staff) definitely scored well in terms of flavors and texture. I enjoyed immensely the beautiful crusty exterior, gorgeous and full of flavors. The pinkish centre dripping in its own jus was simplistic yet fantastic. Affectionately succulent and tender, the carnivore in me rejoice in this indulgent beefy pleasure.
The steak came with a side of roasted potatoes and sautéed vegetables as well as a dipping sauce of mustard. If you ask me, I will certainly skip the mustard and savor its full potential.

N.Z. Lamb Cutlet (RM54.00)

Equally tantalizing was hubby’s order of this French-cut lamb cutlets served with mint sauce. Delighted that the lamb was beautifully cooked to a medium, hubby had a wonderful time devouring it.

Fish & Chips (RM28.00)
Sam had this huge portion of battered fresh local garoupa served with steakhouse fries. The batter was slightly too thick for my liking but Sam polished off the dish happily.

Moist Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream (RM15.00)

A deceptively simple looking dessert but the flavors and textures was sublime. Embodied in full chocolatey glory, this piece of chocolate cake was extremely moist. The luscious chocolate syrup and a scoop of Vanilla ice cream elevated the scrumptious-ness of the dessert. Indeed a perfect end to a lovely dinner.
Verdict: My Wagyu definitely hit the spot and cured my craving. Maria’s Steakcafe is well worth checking out for steak devotees, the wallet friendly price range also one of the attractive point too!

Maria’s SteakCafe

Steak does look good but the mussels did not seem that promising unfortunately
There are others appertizer too, hehe ^__^
Oh, I like this place (I went to the one in Bangsar). I have fond memories of their steaks and oxtail soup…but everything else was just so-so 🙂
Oh oxtail soup, I like it too! I think Maria’s version is robust in flavors huh….Am I right?
That’s pretty good deal for that piece of Wagyu!
You are right! I saw higher price at other places >_<
They have so many regular and loyal customers. Maria the owner is a superb chef! All her pies are very good too.
Pies, really? I should try that next time 🙂
