Omega Pork Noodle @ Kota Damansara
My friend has been telling me to try out her favourite pork noodle restaurant, Omega Pork Noodles at Kota Damansara because she knows hubby and I are fan of it. Finally, we made a visit there a couple of weeks ago.
Occupied a corner lot with a rather big dining area, Omega is definitely much more comfortable if compared with another pork noodles restaurant in the same area. The place is equipped with air conditioners and received great illumination of natural light from the glass windows.
A designated beverage station is set side by side with the ordering counter.
Basically, Omega serves only two types of noodles – Pork Noodles and Nanyang White Curry, with options of portion (big/small) and types of noodles. All ingredients of both noodles also stated clearly in the menu.
Ordering is made at the counter and the food will be served to table later.
The add-on menu and refillable drink (at the aforementioned beverage station) is priced at RM6.50 for ala carte and RM3.50 with purchase of any meal or side order.
RM1.20 for 3pcs of crispy pork lard (Zhu Yao Zha) is quite ridiculous. ◔_◔
These were the side dishes that available.
Dry Lou Shu Fun (Small – RM9.00 + Add on egg RM1.00)
My first impression -> HUGE, for both noodles and that bowl of soup fully laden with pork slices, meat balls, a big slab of meat patty, cabbage and our add-on egg. (We omitted the offal)
The murky broth was adequately infused with porky essence and sweetness end note from the cabbage.
Nanyang White Curry (Small – RM9.90)
A spoonful of Sambal (chili paste) was served separately with the bowl of noodles with white coconut broth. There were prawns, bean curd puffs, long bean, bean sprouts, fish balls and bean curd sheet. The curry broth was rich and creamy after a good mix, with fragrance of the coconut milk and variety of spices. The spiciness level was just right too.
Lobak & Deep Fried Stuffed Bean Curd Puff (RM3.50 each)
Both were just mediocre and a bit cold when served to us.
♥Verdict: Big portion with reasonable pricing, a return trip was on the cards. (^o^)v

Wow, for a shop to specialise/sell only two types of noodles, they must be very confident that they’re very good…..and looks like they were! 😉 Side dishes that are pre-cooked and left in the showcase is always not a good bet unless they have a fast turnaround like dim sum, otherwise it’d be cold and lose its crispiness.
Kris, I thought they will at least reheat the food before serve it. =.=”
Looks like a good place for me to enjoy that bowl of nanyang White Curry. So tempting.
Tekkaus, worth a try if you’re in that area. 🙂
