Yen Can Cook: Garlic Butter Baked Salmon
I got a very nice piece of Salmon from Ben’s Independent Grocer and tried to baked it in foil to retain the tenderness of the fish. The recipe I’m going to share today is so easy to make and can be ready in less than 30 minutes! Not only the cooking time is short, the clean up is a breeze as well! Since it’s salmon in foil, which means once the salmon is finished, just disposed the foil and there is no dirty plates are left behind to clean afterwards. #lazymommy
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
Fresh or dried parsley for garnishing (optional)
Step 1 : In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the lemon juice and minced garlic, allow the lemon juice to reduce to 1 tablespoon. Add in butter, remove pan from heat and swirl until butter completely melts.
Step 2: Place the Salmon filet in a piece of foil large enough to fold over and seal. Pour in the garlic butter sauce. Season with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Cover with foil so that all sides are properly closed so the sauce does not leak.
Step 3: Preheat oven 180ºC, bake the Salmon for 12 – 15 minutes or your desired doneness. Open the foil and allow the fish to broil for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4: Remove from oven, top with parsley and serve.
