About “Akachan no Hoppe”

The Akachan no Hoppe was birthed in the city of Itoigawa, Niigata prefecture of Japan – a city blessed with natural abundance. Artisans at the long-established Yamakawa confectionary exquisitely harmonized the techniques of traditional Japanese confectionery together with the charms of Western delicacy, creating an exciting, never-before-tasted texture and delicious pastries. Akachan no Hoppe which means “Baby cheeks” in Japanese produces pastries that are packed with natural blessings, love, and smiles. Try touching one gently and you will definitely feel the soft, love-filled fluffiness that comes naturally in our products. Our line of pastries only contains carefully hand selected, azuki beans, paste and glutinous rice. These are made daily with sincere devotion and care every day according to the strict techniques and craftsmanship initiated by the Yamakawa’s themselves. You can always have our pastries just as they are made in Japan and enjoy them freshly made.
