Yen Can Cook: Whole Tomato Rice

Definitely the hottest recipe spread in social media! Everyone shared their version of whole tomato in rice cooker and me too jump on the bandwagon prepared this 2 days ago as dinner for me & Sam ^__*


Ingredients

1 tomato, cut a cross on the tomato so that the skin can be easily peeled after cooked

One cup of rice

Water (or substitute with chicken or vegetable stock)

Corn kernels

Carrot (diced or cut in slices)

Butter

A pinch of salt & pepper

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Step 1: Wash the rice and add water as per level indicated in the pot.

Step 2: Put in tomato, corn kernels, carrot, butter, salt and pepper.

Step 3: Put into rice cooker and start cooking.

Step 4: When the rice is cooked, wait 5 more minutes before you open the lid. Remove the tomato skin, toss  the rice thoroughly then serve.
