We were here for dinner with friends a couple of months ago. The restaurant is located on first floor of the shoplot and the overall setting is cozy with plenty of Japanese oriental ornaments decorating the space. The main dining area is furnished with banquette seats and there are 2 private rooms which can accommodate 8 to 10 persons per room. The seating capacity is not really big, so making advance reservation may be a wise choice, especially on weekends.

Some snacks, candies and small toys for sale.

These beverages was included in the buffet and there is another ala carte drinks menu with extensive choices of beers, sakes, Shochus, Whiskey, wines and soft drinks.

The buffet counters was filled with an array of vegetables, mushrooms, noodles and bean curds.

The seafood selections though, weren’t really impressive. We only got clams, scallops, mussels and flower crabs that day and they were in quite small size.

The chef’s special dish that day – pork curry.

Mix your own sauce with the sauces and condiments provided.

We spotted a special ingredient on the sauce counter, the Kampung Egg (farm egg)

The soup and meat selections.

Spicy Miso and Ginger Soup
The spicy miso soup was nothing to shout about, it just had an one-dimensional spicy flavour that was quite lackluster. The ginger soup was much more better, it came with intense gingery flavour, slightly spicy and not too overwhelming, but still far from being impressive in my book.

All the meat was very thinly sliced and quality was decent for the price charged. We were surprise to see ox tongue was offered here! My favourite would be the pork, lamb and ox tongue. ԅ(♡﹃♡ԅ)

Beside the shabu shabu, the dinner buffet also included a list of side dishes that you can place unlimited order.

Cocktail Sausages & Fried Wontons

Negima Yakitori

Shishamo Fish

Tori Kaarage

Croquette

Ice cream to end the dinner.
Verdict: Overall, it was an enjoyable meal and what I really like is their service which was prompt and rather attentive. Price and food wise, I’m satisfied with the quality of the meat provided but there was a stuffed bean curd tasted quite “funny” which we suspected the food might already gone bad.

I have seen this place from afar but never tried as I am not too keen on Shabu Shabu. I’m glad it was a pleasant enough experience for you.
PH, it’s ok, maybe one day you will have a sudden crave for shabu shabu 😛
Like phonghong, my family is also not into shabu-shabu…but at least this one have lots of unlimited side orders! 😉 I can see that the meats are really thinly sliced! O_o
