Yen Can Cook ~ Stir Fried Kailan with Canned Fried Dace

This is another jazz-up-your-canned-food recipe that you shouldn’t miss other than the Fried Meehoon with Canned Stewed Pork that I shared earlier.

Canned fried dace with salted black beans, are you a fan of this? I’m a super fan of this intensely flavorful canned fried dace fish which is originated in China. It is best paired with porridge and steamed rice or as side ingredient to stir fry with vegetables such as today’s recipe with Kai Lan (Chinese Broccoli), Choy Sum, Yau Mak (Indian Lettuce) or even bitter gourd!

Ingredients (Serve: 3-4)

1 canned fried dace with salted black beans

2 bunches (350-400g) Kai Lan, cut into preferred size

3 cloves garlic, sliced/minced

50ml water

Sugar to taste

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 1: Slightly shred or cut the fried dace in smaller pieces.
Step 2: Heat the wok and pour in the oil and black beans in the can. Add in garlic and stir til fragrant.
Step 3: Add in the fried dice (Step 1) and Kai Lan, stir to mix well. Add in water and let it cook for 1-2 minutes or until the Kai Lan is cooked. Add sugar taste.
Step 4: Serve.
HAPPY COOKING!  #stayhealthy #staysafe
