Kingdom Palace Restaurant @ 3 Damansara
A Dim Sum session with mom and cousin during Chinese New Year.
Since we didn’t make any reservation, we were arranged to be seated at the only vacant table facing the entrance.
Located inside 3 Damansara Mall, Kingdom Palace Restaurant’s spacious interior is well-lit, sparsely decorated with modern artworks on the walls, with a cozy yet elegant vibe. Framed with round tables draped in crisp white linens and comfortable cushion chairs, perfect for communal dining. The overall layout ensures a sense of privacy even when the restaurant gets busy.
We were given a one-pager menu which was not only featuring Dim Sum but also selections of appetizer, noodles, claypot dishes, vegetable stir fry and dessert. The Dim Sum options wasn’t really compact but the addition of other food choices were welcomed.
Look at this cool guy in the kitchen, “he” is actually a noodles shaving robot! I should have ordered a bowl of shaved noodles (Dao Xiao Mian) to check out his performance. (^v^)
Steamed Siew Mai with Fatt Choy (RM16.80)
Generously packed with prawn and minced meat, the Siew Mai were juicy and bouncy.
Steamed Prawn Dumpling (RM16.80)
Thin and translucent skin that held its shape — a hallmark of well-executed Har Gao. The prawns inside were fresh and plump, offering that satisfying bite.
Steamed Bean Curd Skin Roll with Abalone Sauce (RM14.80)
Deep Fried Bean Curd Skin Roll (RM14.80)
Both deep fried and steamed version were decent at its best.
Steamed BBQ Pork Bun (RM14.80)
Soft, fluffy buns bursting open with that signature sticky-sweet char siew filling. Perfectly balanced — not too sweet, not too salty.
Steamed Cheong Fun with Prawns (RM18.80)
Silky-smooth rice rolls were generously filled with fresh succulent prawns, swimming in light soy sauce. Simple but so comforting.
Loh Mai Kai (RM14.80)
An absolute classic, and they nailed it. The rice was soft but not mushy, fragrant with hints of Chinese liver sausage and shiitake mushroom, and steamed just right to retain texture. Foie Gras is mentioned in the menu but we didn’t detect any. (ー_ー;)
Fresh Fish Porridge (RM18.80)
The portion of the porridge was bigger than the usual small rice bowl portion.
Fresh Prawn Dumpling Egg Noodles (RM21.80)
Plump and meaty dumpling, cooked to perfection al-dente thin noodles and broth that packed with delicious umami note, definitely a well worth slurping up bowl of noodles.
Verdict: Despite the steep price tags but the restaurant has delivered the quality and portion. If you’re on the hunt for Dim Sum in a plush and comfortable environment, this place should be on your list.

I remember this restaurant. My family Chinese New Year Reunion 2020 was held there. Ah, good that they have dim sum. I have been wanting to go for dim sum. So my brother and I can take our mum for a dim sum session one of the weekends.
The dim sum is certainly high end (like hotel), in terms of prices & quality…and they all look great. I think my family-of-3 (did your family attend…if they did then it’d be a party-of-5?) would leave hungry with so few plates of dim sum + 1 noodle…lol…but understandable since prices are rather steep! ;D
Kris, yes, there were 5 persons but cousin didn’t eat much because he had his breakfast earlier (I asked him to join because he just stays above the mall).
PH, I hope you can bring your mom to try out the Dim Sum soon and let me know your verdict.
