Beans N Beans @ Damansara Uptown
I say “Saranghae” to Bingsu 빙수 especially when I need something refreshing to battle the recent sweltering weather. Bingsu, a popular dessert in Korean comprising of shaved ice and various ingredients, usually sweetened condensed milk, fruits, Korean rice cake, cereal flakes and ice cream.
The Bingsu mania has swept across the country since last year. Many Bingsu specialties are sprouting up and Beans N Beans at Damansara Uptown appeared to be the latest addition. Franchised from a Korean dessert cafe chain from Korea, there are currently 3 outlets in Malaysia, Damansara Uptown, Citta Mall and Oceanus Waterfront Mall, Sabah (known as Nunpat Korean Dessert Cafe)

Nestled in the heavily populated area of Damansara Uptown, Beans N Beans is quite easily to locate. The shop is situated on the same row as Fat Spoon Cafe & The Good Batch, facing the residential area.

Beans N Beans is a feel-good cafe that aglow with natural sunshine and I simply love that great easy going vibe in its ambiance.

Partnered with clean and pleasant seating and beautifully accentuated by the knick knack and ornaments placed on the wall shelves.

Into the second section of the cafe lies an area furnished with comfortable sofa, plush toys as well as the delightful collection of decoration items.

Beans N Beans definitely a kid friendly cafe, look at what they have prepared! From varieties of board games, toys, playing cards as well as those funny and interesting props to keep your kids occupied.

There is also a corner filled with selection of merchandises, snack and tea bags imported from Korea for sales too.

Sparkling Grapefruit (RM 12.80)
A concoction of house made marinated grapefruit, soda drink and lemon, this indeed a best thirst quencher for its refreshing citrus-ty flavor.

Banana Apple Vinegar (RM 10.40)
I’ve heard of apple vinegar, pear vinegar, plum vinegar and etc but banana vinegar definitely my first time! I confess, I recoiled at first when I was introduced to this drink but was hooked as soon as I tasted it. The house made banana vinegar has a delectable potent flavor, mild acidic, easy and soothing to the palate. Very impressive and a must try in my book.

Caramel Macchiato (RM 12.20)

Beans N Beans Signature Chocolate (RM 10.80)

Green Tea Latte (RM 12.00)

Cheese Bingsu (RM 17.80)
The pure, soft and milky shaved ice is topped with Vanilla ice cream, cornflakes and cheesecake cubes. It had a refine creamy and milk flavour that is very enjoyable. The cheesecake cubes was light in terms of flavor and texture and I found some hidden underneath the shaved ice too!You know, cheesecake plus ice cream plus shaved milk ice makes us all happy people! LOL

Green Tea Bingsu (RM 17.80)
If you love the flavour of green tea, opt for this Green Tea Bingsu. The shaved ice was pillowy with a discernible green tea taste. The green tea ice cream deserves a sentence on its own, creamy and intensely flavoured! Another element on the Bingsu was the injulmi balls with chewy texture resemble mochi. The portion of the bingsu is huge to be shared among 2-3 persons. Get your fix here and let the smooth ice flakes slowly melt in your mouth, and your heart~
Other than Bingsu and assorted beverages, Beans N Beans menu also offers both sweet and savory toasts and sandwiches.

Matcha Bomb Bread (RM 16.80)

Can’t get enough of green tea? Here another item with green tea and red bean. Thick toast generously slathered with green tea sauce then crowned with red bean and green tea ice cream.

Omelette Ham Cheese (RM 14.80)
Omelette studded with vegetables in the sandwich, definitely a more wholesome meal!

Chicken Bulgogi Sandwich (RM 15.80)
A Korean inspired sandwich with generous filling of savory chicken Bulgogi, fresh lettuce and sliced tomato.

Garlic Cheese Bread (RM 14.80)
Thick garlic toast covered with luscious melted cheese, it was so garlicky that you’ll scare off vampire and even your love one, so beware! Haha!

Red Bean Cheese Toast (RM 13.50)
A savory and sweet combination that works wonder! The imported red bean paste was not overly sweet, matched brilliantly with the cheese layer which created a memorably fantastic flavor. I feel an overwhelming urge to indulge it again now!

Verdict: Need a relax and laid-back dessert session? Beans N Beans will be the place for you!

the interior of the cafe looks very nice! i like the various decorations like the harlequin mask! 😀
But I doubt you will take photo with all those props, LOL
Kk also has Beans n Beans but I’m not sure whether Nunpat and Beans n Beans are under the same management. If yes, we have two Nunpat (Oceanus like the one you mentioned above and Imago Mall) and one Beans n Beans located in Suria Sabah. Oh boy! I’m craving for Bingsu at this late hour
Yes, Nunpat & Beans N Beans are under same franchise 🙂
If one bingsu needs to be shared by 2 – 3, how many people were there to help you eat so much sweet stuff? 😉 I’ve never tried bingsu coz I don’t like ais kacang.
We were in a group of 4 adults + 2 kids that day and to be honest we can’t finish the bingsu LOL
There are other flavors other than red bean, worth check them out especially for the recent hot weather 🙂
