Foodlover Cafe, a neighborhood cafe that serve wide selection of western & local delights, pastas, cakes & desserts located at Happy Mansion, Section 17, Petaling Jaya.
Airy and comfortable dining area with simple dark wooden furniture.
Not much fancy decoration except those colourful small “boxes” adorning the wall, special on its own nonetheless.
Iced Hong Kong Milk Tea (RM 5.90) & Apple Juice (RM 6.90)
Berry Blast Smoothies (RM 7.90)
Mushroom Soup (Rm 9.90)
Served with a slice of garlic bread.
Thick but not creamy with abundance of mushroom bits. I like the bursting earthy flavor, every sip bring satisfactory to the palate.
Spiral Sausage – RM 19.90
Lay on bed of mashed potato, the chicken sausage was juicy and the seasonings were in the right dose, tasty yet not too salty. The house made mashed potato with tiny chunks potato was equally good too.
Nasi Lemak Curry Chicken (RM 9.90)
Portion was generous with 2 big chunks of chicken meat and several pieces of potatoes. The rice with whiff of aromatic santan (coconut milk) went really well with the curry gravy, creamy & not too spicy.
Set lunch available on Tuesday to Friday 12.00pm ~2.30pm.
The cakes in the display cabinet looked utterly delectable and inviting, I can’t help myself but packed a slice of it.
Banana Coffee Toffee Caramel- RM5.90
Very fairly priced if compare to other cafes, the cake was moist with subtle hint of banana, perhaps the caramel topping was too overpowering.
Verdict: The food here is good and reasonably priced, I don’t mind coming back to this casual and laid-back cafe to further their menu.
