Combo B (RM 10.50)
BBQ Fried Chicken & your choice of drink.
The chicken cutlet was fragrant features exclusive Chinese medicine marinade and I like how they battered it thinly with sprinkled of sesame seeds which provided a pleasant crispy outer skin. While the skin was flavorful-ly perfect, the inner was equally tantalizing, tender and succulent.
Verdict: Love this to the MAX but not recommended for frequent partaking. Definitely will not miss it if I happen to be at nearby 😛

I’ve seen this stall somewhere in queensbay mall, i think the portion is damn big, not too keen in trying, after all, it’s deep fried stuff :p
Didn’t know u r such a health conscious person, thumbs up!
actually i feel quite expensive ..:P
No lah, the chicken chop is quite big!
why the chicken fried so black punya ? LOL
wah like nandos…can choose spiciness level.. good
The black coating is seasoning powder 🙂
Didn’t try the one in Taiwan because the queue is so long when I was there back in 2010. Would be good to give it a try in Pavilion now.
I was so regret didn’t try the original one at Taiwan 🙁
Is the chicken meant to be that black or because of some marinated sauce.
Most of the time, I go to the Taiwan stall to satisfy chicken chop craving. Can try this some day.
The black coating is seasoning powder and I found this much more nicer than the “Uncle Bxx” Chicken chop at pasar malam~
when you mentioned Hot Star, it is quite new to me, but when i saw that 豪大大 then i know it’s that famous Taiwanese fried chicken chop, haha!! but i have not been there before, only settled with that more ubiquitous Shihlin Snacks~~ :p
This is different with Shihlin and they don’t cut it and I prefer this a lot more than the former 😛
My fav fried chicken, gonna try the original one in Taiwan soon ^^
Wow, enjoy your trip ya~
my friend is a convert now! he used to patron Shihlin!
he said that the chicken here is more licin than Shihlin’s, but i don’t like the coating here as it is not adhere to the meat nicely..
I prefer this as I found the batter is much more thinner 🙂
The dining area at SS15 outlet is quite cosy. The chicken is very big piece. One person hardly finish. Next time I want to try other flavor 🙂
So paiseh to tell that I can finish one piece by myself >.<
