La Cucina Mediterranean Kitchen @ Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar
Nestled in the latest Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar, La Cucina Mediterranean Kitchen serve an eclectic Italian & Mediterranean inspired cuisine. This urbane dining speciality restaurant is inspired from the warm hospitality of small countryside homes along the beautiful Mediterranean coast, where guests are invited into the kitchen, the “heart” of the house, to become part of the family meal.
The highlight of La Cucina is the flamboyant cooking suite at the centre of the restaurant, which provides a source of enigmatic entertainment for the guests by watching the chefs churning out the dishes in front of us.

The orange themed restaurant exuded a warm yet chic vibe and I personally adored the colourful details such as the flowers, napkins, glasses and the plush pillows which jazzed up the overall ambiance.
The Sous Chef Aidiyusman Mohamad Yushoff was preparing our food that night.
Right behind the cooking suite is the oven and the kitchen crew rolling the dough for our pizza!
The aroma of the cooking dishes wafted to our tables was torturing especially when you are in extremely famished mode!
Assorted freshly made breads served with spreads to rescue the rumbling tummy. I tried to resist from eating too much bread but they were too good especially the cheese focaccia.
Penne “Frui Di Mare” (RM 38.00)
The penne was simmered in a tangy tomato broth with medley of seafood was delish however the texture of the penne need minor tweaking as it was slightly overcooked.
Smoked Duck Spaghetti (RM 34.00)
This obviously a crowd pleaser that evening as it gone in a jiffy! The lovely smoked duck pieces enhanced the flavor of the perfectly done spaghetti, it also had a good doses of herbs.
Linguine Prawn (RM 38.00)
Tossed in lemon buer with sage, roasted spiced walnuts and shaved pecorino; the flavor was light and showcased natural tastes of variety ingredients from the crunchy walnut to the bouncy prawns.
Red Mullet Fillet (RM 51.00)
The fish fillet was pan fried fragrantly bringing out some burnt flavors that no one can resist (at least or me :P) and served in seafood bisque. The served along grilled assorted vegetables was nicely executed too, tasty enough to evoke a simple simple sigh of contentment.
Braised Australian Grain-Fed Beef Cheek (RM 59.00)
Served with parmesan polenta , olive tapenade and grilled vegetables.
Obviously the Australian Grain-Fed Beef Cheek took centre stage in this dish. The meat was achingly tender and literally mealt-in-your-mouth, what can I say but thumbs up for this!
Vegetarian (RM 24.00)
Sliced Turkey (RM 30.00 )
Both pizzas had thin crust that holds the ingredients well and the flavors were definitely bold!
Patrons can create your own pizza too ~ “La vostra” which mean “yours” in Italian.
Choose any 4 toppings from the array of choices such as anchovy fillets, black olives, swiss brown mushrooms, pepperoni, artichokes and etc.
We knew that we had to order dessert when we saw the desserts in the display cabinet, in fact, we made sure to save room for them, all of them!
Please forgive the glutton in us but they are to hard to resist, aren’t?
Patrons can have choices of one dessert @ RM 18.00 or a selection of two @ RM 28.00
Meet the maestro behind the lovely dishes served that evening ~ Sous Chef Aidiyusman Mohamad Yushoff. Started his hospitality career at the bottom rung of the ladder – as a dishwasher and then promoted as a Commis the kitchen. He had been working at a few country such as India and US and then returning to Malaysia and joined the Culinary Team at Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar as Sous Chef, in charge of La Cucina. Ya, 5 giant prawns, don’t play play~~
The pastas looks nice 🙂
For me, I think the pasta dishes outshone the others 😛
