Little Plates Restaurant @ Mutiara Damansara

We passed by this place numerous times but never knew there’s a restaurant here, until I did research on one of my family’s dinner venues.

Little Plates Restaurant is located within the Mutiara Damansara Recreational Park (the park near IKEA Damansara & IPC), in this club-house-look-alike building. Complimentary parking is ample here.

Little Plates Restaurant, as its name implies, the food portion is remarkably smaller than regular restaurants. The portion is bigger than a sides but slightly smaller as a main dish. Hopefully my photo can show you the clearer view of what I mean.(^_^;)

The restaurant’s interior setting is simple but exudes an elegant vibe, beautifully accentuated by soft yellow lighting.

Outdoor seating is available as well at the courtyard.

The menu list seemed sufficiently extensive (with a few laminated papers) but after perusing further, I found that those dishes lacked of diversity in cooking styles. I also noticed that some of the food portion didn’t justify the price charged.

Parts of the menu for your reference.

There are starters (priced at RM5.90 and RM6.90) with options of salads, assorted salsa, pickle and Kimchi, carbs included rice, pastas and bread (priced from RM2.90 to RM5.90), pastas and mains (priced from 18.90 to RM22.90), lamb and beef dishes (priced from RM16.90 to RM25.90), chicken dishes (priced from RM7.90 to RM16.90), seafood dishes (with most choices, priced from RM7.90 to RM32.90), and platters for sharing (priced from RM39.90 to RM89.90).

Iced Thai Milk Tea (RM7.90), Jasmine Milk Tea (RM7.90) & Asam Green Apple (RM12.90)

Curry Herb Potato (RM6.90)

The deep fried potato cubes was rather enjoyable, tender with flavourful crust.

Lamb Bites (RM16.90)

The lamb bites were infused with delectable spices mix and I’m glad that they were meaty without much bones.

Adobo Lamb (RM16.90)

Our another lamb dish was paled in comparison with the former dish. It tasted like a mild version of black pepper lamb, with the black pepper heat was a little subdued.

Stir Fried Chicken (RM7.90)

BBQ Chicken (RM7.90)

Both chicken dishes were nothing to write home about.

Nyonya Mix Seafood (RM10.90)

Stir Fried Mix Seafood (RM8.90)

The seafood dishes on the other hand were nicely prepared.

We also ordered a few Jasmine Rice (RM2.90) to go with the dishes above.

Fish and Chips (RM20.90)

Fish and Chips for the kid, I didn’t have a taste of this.

Verdict: Our dinner at Little Plates Restaurant was underwhelming from the food to the service.
