Nanda Chicken @ Solaris Mont Kiara
I just had this yesterday and can’t wait to share with you guys!
In situation like this, it’s either the food was too good and I have to share or super lousy that I need to raise a warning to avoid this restaurant. Let’s read on……
Nanda Chicken is one of the many Korean restaurants in the vibrant commercial area of Solaris Mont Kiara. As its name implies, Korean fried chicken is Nanda Chicken’s signature dish.
Chic modern lighting impart a yellowish hue to the dining area. The space is filled with sturdy wooden tables and metal chairs, posters and photos of Korean boy bands decorating the walls, as well as the looping music videos of Korean singer on TV, which bring a youthful exuberant mood to the overall dining ambience.
Their signature dish – fried boneless chicken with a pool of mozzarella cheese, but we didn’t order this. (Γ±_Γ±)
In addition to the Korean fried chicken in assorted flavours (can order half or full chicken) such as Soy Garlic, Fire Spicy,Β Carbonara, Green Onion, Kkanpung, Curry, Salted Egg and etc (RM27-RM62), the menu also covers a small selection of Korean fares included Bibimbap (RM23), Jajangmyeon (RM25), Kimbab (RM18), Kimchi Pancake (RM26), Spicy Chicken Feet (RM36), Tteokbokki (RM22), Kimchi Stew (RM19), Boiled Chicken Soup (RM28), Fried Dumpling (RM13), Steamed Egg (RM22) and many more.
The beverage menu comprises various of Korean teas (Lemon, Citron, Pomegrenate), special house drinks, bottled and canned drinks, Soju, beers, Makgeoli and Soju cocktails, priced from RM5 to RM42.
Iced Green Tea (RM6.00)
Korean Fried Chicken – Spicy Soy Garlic (half – RM29.00) & Magic Cheese (half – RM 33.00)
Spicy Soy Garlic
The chicken was prepared using a double-frying technique, which helps to achieve a crispy exterior while keeping the meat juicy and tender on the inside. This Spicy Soy Garlic flavour proved to be a good choice with its satisfying crunch with every bite, as well as the spiciness that beautifully nuanced it’s addictive.
Portion wise, 3 of us just ordered a whole chicken and we managed to finish it and went back home with a bloating stomach. (^β^) The chicken pieces were rather small though, check out the photo above for comparison of the chicken and the spoon.
Magic Cheese
Equally crunchy with generous sprinkles of cheese powder. Between the two flavours, my preference leans towards the former, because of the extra spicy sauce coating that seal the deal with its punchy flavour.
The fried chicken was served with tapioca chips, Kimchi and pickled radish. Both Kimchi and pickled radish were really good and they were refillable.
Verdict: So after reading the post, you know that my dining experience was a satisfying and impressive one. (^^)v

Wah…so fast have to post because the fried chicken was damn good hah…hah…. At first I thought Nanda was Indian when I saw your post title on my sidebar. I noted that they are on Grabfood, so I might try one of these days.
PH, hopefully you will like it as much as me!
Before I read your post, I was guessing that you had an appaling meal simply based on the first photo that I saw…your iced green tea looked like iced water…lol! Ah, this place is famous for its KFC with lots of cheese…which isn’t my thing. If you enjoyed this, then perhaps you can try Chicken House as well which many say is even better.
Kris, we like cheese but I read a review said that the cheese given was pretty tasteless, so we skipped that. π
A blogger said that Chicken House is her favourite Korean fried chicken restaurant and I already put it in my to-try-list. (^^)v
Proper cheese with that price ok looo
KY, maybe I’ll try next time. π
