Restoran Kaw Kaw Pakkopi @ Bandar Menjalara, Kepong
We thought we were rather early (9.00am) that Sunday morning but there was still a group of early risers queuing at the five-foot way (walkway) of Restoran Kaw Kaw Pakkopi at Bandar Menjalara, Kepong. It is strategically located opposite of Lotus’s Kepong. They have three other branches at SS2, Taipan USJ and Taman Tan Yew Lai (Old Klang Road), in addition to this one at Kepong.
Marble tables and stools arranged neatly within the brightly lit dining area. There are several outdoor seats at the walkway as well.
The restaurant was heavily adorned with vintage household items such as thermos flasks, cassette tape, advertisement posters, television, kettles, tiffin carriers and many more.
The beverages and pastries took center stage in the menu, the food choices on the other hand, not really extensive. Their beverage list was well categorized into coffee, Cham, Tea, white coffee, Nescafe, Milo, Ovaltine, Horlicks, Nestum, juices can canned drinks. Noodles (Wonton Mee, Hakka Noodles, Curry Mee, Asam Laksa, Chicken Horfun, fish balls noodles, and etc.), Nasi Lemak with various of dishes (fried chicken, Siew Yoke, Char Siew & Hakka Pork), Chee Cheong Fun and glutinous rice and bread (toasted & steamed).
Boss Ku Kaw Kaw (700ml PP Cup – RM4.20)
The best wake-up drink – extra “Kaw” (thick) iced coffee. \(^_^)/
Signature Curry Noodles (Small – RM9.50)
The curry noodles was good. Thick, creamy and chock full of ingredients such as Char Siew, Siew Yoke, vegetables, bean curd sheet and bean curd puffs.
Barbequed Pork Wantan Noodles (Small – RM8.50)
The Wantan Noodles was pale in comparison with the curry noodles. The taste of the soy sauce concoction was lack of that oomph factor to appeal to me. The Char Siew also didn’t impress me one tiny bit.
Signature Kaya Butter Puff (RM2.40), Egg Tart (RM2.40) & Portuguese Egg Tart (RM2.80)
This Kaya Butter Puff was astounding. It had a lovely flavours of saltiness and sweetness in one bite.
Both tarts was just mediocre though.
More pastries such as coconut tarts, Char Siew Puffs (Char Siew Sou), Green Bean Puffs (Dou Sa Sou), Curry Puffs, Siew Bao, Kaya Puffs, Chicken Bun (Chan Bao), Egg Sponge Cakes and Walnut Cookies were sold here.
♥ Verdict: I’ll come back for the Kaya Butter Puff. As for the food, I don’t think I will queue for it.

The kaya puff and siew bao are excellent. I love the coffee too. The gai see hor fun noodles passable only.
Alice, you tried their food too? Thank you for your recommendation on the Siew Bao, will try next time. ^__*
I thought the curry noodles looked quite good but you only enjoyed the kaya butter puff. I guess next time, just go there and tapau the kaya butter puffs. Was the iced coffee good?
PH, curry noodles was not bad. No complaint from hubby for the iced coffee, I assume it was good. LOL
That kaya puff, with coffee, yums!
KY, good pairing indeed!
Eh, what happened to my comment? Anyway, here it is again….there’s a pakkopi truck in my taman (selling only drinks)….wonder if it’s the same. That curry do look good…very thick and brimming with curry oil! 😉
Kris, I found that there are Pakkopi Kaw & Kaw Kaw Pakkopi when I search online, and they are different.
Yeah, the curry noodles was rather good.
