Riblee’s @ Desa Sri Hartamas
This was indeed a “memorable” dinner for me & my family 😛 Read on to find out why…..
It was a hot Sunday evening, we can feel the warmness in the restaurant once we stepped in to Riblee’s. Located on 1st floor of a corner shoplot above Al-Rajhi Bank at Sri Hartamas, the dark colour furniture and flooring has created a rustic ambiance with a modern touch but tables are quite cramped within the indoor dining area.
The smoking area at the balcony.
No prizes for guessing what is served here ^__*
Tomato Soup (Bowl) – RM 10.80+
Thick and richly laced with robust roasted tomato flavors.
Smokey Rolls – RM 19.80+
Smoked streaky bacon wrapped around fresh tiger shrimps. cucumber, carrot, celery sticks & deep fried.Crispy on the outer while the inner ingredients still retained the juiciness.
Smoked Ham Quesadilla – RM 17.90+
Smoked pork ham, sauteed onions & cheese sandwiched between two crispy toasted flour tortillas served with pico de galo (tomato salsa) & sour cream.
Crackling Roast Pork – RM 38.80+
Roasted 3 layer pork served with apple sauce, rosemary roasted baby potatoes & sauteed vegetables.
The skin was incredibly crunchy while the pork belly was moist and perfectly flavored. We wish the portion could be a lil bit more bigger so that my family of 6 adults + 3 kids can savor more…. (Each of us only can have a tiny portion =.=”)
St. Louise Style Rib – RM 36.80+
Charbroiled spare rib served with corn on the cob & pigtail fries.
The portion of this ribs was so small and look at the burnt edges, what a disappointment @.@
Oregano Lamb – RM 38.80+
The lamb with slightly fat layer was nicely grilled drenched in oregano infused sauce which is not too overwhelming. But again, the portion was so small for the price we paid, although this was the last dish served but our stomach not even half filled! T_T
Spicy Angel Hair Pasta – RM 26.80+
Hence we had to make an extra order of this pasta >.<
Classic aglio olio, served with smoked pork bacon bits, pork croutons, birds eye chilli, julienned zuchinni and cherry tomatoes. This was quite tasty with the great seasoning and the chili bits definitely lent a punchy kick to your palate.
Kids running and playing around before the dinner started.
Guess what? After the not-so-satisfying dinner, we walk up to the street to have our second round of dinner at Daorae, this was really the first time for us @@. Do you have similar experience? Share with me!

U also have same feeling huh… @@
Been to this place a couple of times. I can’t recall whether the portions were comparable to what you had. But then again, I guess their portions are not meant be huge like Brotzeit.
Read your review, I felt the portion when ur visit was slightly bigger, yes?no?
Yeah. Maybe it’s one off thing.
T_T
ooo, i wonder if the management or the chef might have changed. i do remember this place as being somewhere i’d recommend for good porky food and good prices. and i’m always impressed that it has survived for many years now. hopefully they’ll take note of your suggestions and make improvements…
