Room 18

My lunch at Room 18 was an unpleasant one, not because of the food but Sam. She was not in good mood that day & starting to cry for a walk outside the restaurant even though the food not yet served *fainted*.

The restaurant was fully occupied that day & we had to sit at “balcony” which overlooking the construction site opposite Hartamas Shopping Centre. We felt warm although it was a rainy day.

Milk Tea (RM 3.50++) & Barley Lemon (RM 3.50++)

Cruller Roll 炸两肠粉 (RM 6.80++)
Quite disappointed that it was cold when served. The cheong fun (rice noodle roll) was thin and the cruller was crispy.

A super salty soy sauce for dipping.

Waxed Meat Rice 腊味扣饭 (RM 15.80++)
Topped with waxed sausage(腊肠), waxed liver sausage(腊潤肠), waxed meat(腊肉) & waxed duck(腊鸭). Mixed the white rice with the flavorsome sauce from those waxed meat, it was very aromatic & delicious!

Roast Pork Noodle 脆皮烧腩面 (RM 11.80++)
The wonton mee was OK but not springy enough in my opinion.

The roast pork (siew yok) had crispy skin which everyone fond to. The exquisite layer of fat & lean meat made this quite an above average version of siew yok!
