The Morning After @ T6 Lightgrey Mall, Sungai Buloh
Barely 3 weeks old, The Morning After (TMA) nestled at T6 Lightgrey Mall, Sungai Buloh is their latest outpost which is quite near from where I stay. (Check out their branches HERE)
I never know the existing of this new mall until a friend call for a meet up at TMA, T6 Lightgrey Mall last week.

Located between the residential neighborhoods of Sierramas and Sungai Buloh Hospital,T6 Lightgrey Mall is still very vacant for the moment. TMA is the only tenant there other than the supermarket at basement level (Stellar’s Grocer).

Outlook of T6 Lightgrey Mall – The exposed red bricks building unquestionably stood out amongst the nurseries and factories in that area.

The setting itself is an appetizer. I was totally captivated by the vibes exuded once I entered the cafe. I like how atmospheric the entire place is, from the exposed bricks walls, the arch structure, stylish lighting as well as the metal framed glass partition.

I like this laid-back corner which I wouldn’t mind spending my whole afternoon at.

One of the weirdest lighting I’ve ever seen in a cafe >_<

Lambda Bottled Juice (Peach & Tropical – RM 11.00) & Iced Peach Tea (RM 8.00)

Hot Chocolate (RM 12.00)

Shoestring Fries with Truffle Oil (RM 10.00)

Buffalo Wings (RM 18.00)
He had some appetizers while waiting for our mains.

Gourmet Beef Burger (RM 28.00)
Sam was attracted by the picture in the menu hence she got herself this humongous serving of beef burger. It was a tall stack of house made beef patty, a pretty sunny side up, sauteed mushroom, bacon, lettuce, tomato slices and melted cheese in a soft bun. Served alongside was generous portion of cheesy nachos.

The thick beef patty was nicely done, retaining its juiciness while being tender and flavourful. Other condiments provided a multitude of flavors and textures to the burger. It was indeed a sloppy mess while eating this, but a fine one at that 😛

An unusual order for Sam because she will normally opt for pasta but she enjoyed tremendously her meal that evening.

Grilled Lamb Shoulder (RM 30.00)
A enormous serving of meat dish consisted of 4 big slabs of lamb cutlets, sauteed mushrooms, colourful mixed vegetables and garlic mashed potato. The lamb was wonderfully grilled and seasoned served with minty brown sauce. The marinade gave the lamb a beautiful savory sweetness with notes of smokiness. The lamb was tender and didn’t have that gamey smell like some lamb meat I have tasted.

Grilled Salmon (RM 30.00)
Elegantly sitting on bed of mashed potato, the Salmon fillet dressed with Horseradish sauce (however the sauce was a little insufficient) was cooked till just right. The edges was slightly charred while the flesh was flaky and remained adequately moist. Crowned with apple & watercress salad as well as sauteed assorted vegetables, exuberantly coloured which heightening the vibrancy of the whole dish.

Spicy Aglio Olio (RM 22.00)
The garlicky and spicy aglio olio pumped up with medley of prawns and zucchini didn’t seem spicy at first, but the heat caught on soon after >_< The flavors was good and had me slurping up each strand despite the chili kick that hit my palate.

Pasta with Soft Shell Crab (RM 34.00)
Bathed in rich and vibrant Neapolitan sauce, the pasta was cooked al-dente accompanied by deep fried whole soft shell crab, rocket salad and shaved parmesan. The flavors was spot on, robust and appetizingly tangy, however the deep fried soft shell crab missed the mark. It was a tad too oily for our liking.

B-liss (RM 25.00)
Latest addition to the menu, 9 inch thin crust handcrafted pizza with interesting name such as The Hot Chick, The Big Apple and the B-liss (pronounced Bilis) that we had that evening. It was a rustic pizza with scorches of crispy edges and thin texture topped with anchovies, sun dried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, minced garlic and chili flakes. The flavors was bold and showcased the saltiness of the anchovies and the gentle chili heat towards the end.

High & Mighty Londoner (RM 25.00)
Craving for breakfast platter during dinner time? Fret not, TMA offers a few choices of all-day-breakfast item in their menu as well. A platter of hearty poached/fried egg, grilled tomato, sauteed mushrooms, English muffin, sausages, baked beans. Each element was well cooked, a sure winner with everyone of all ages I guess 😛

The Nutjob(RM 14.00)
Moist, rich, creamy, nutty and luscious, an awesome piece of cake that sharing is not recommended! LOL

Tiramisu (RM 11.00)
On the other hand, the tiramisu was paled in comparison. It probably needs to refine and work on some improvements for both texture and flavors.
Verdict: Hits and misses, the food was mostly good especially the pizza, the salmon, the lamb shoulder and cake. I don’t mind come back for more, perhaps during my groceries shopping next week. You may check out my previous visit at Activo Plaza HERE.

I dined here once and loved the grilled salmon, Mexican nachos and pizza. Will definitely come back for those 3 since this place is also quite near to where I live 🙂
The Salmon I’ve tried was really good too!
That’s a surgical light isn’t it?

Those lights look like something one might see when he or she looks up from an operating table…choi, choi, choi….wakakaka! 😀 This place sounds familiar….I think there’s one in Pavilion?
Haha, quite creepy right the light 😛 But the food is really not bad, forget about the light and enjoy the food 🙂
The Pavilion outlet is closed down, FYI.
