In conjunction with the year-end festive season, Tiger Crystal, the limited edition and refreshingly different brew from Tiger is back again for the second consecutive year!

Tiger Crystal provides distinctively refreshing moments for consumers who are looking forward to try something different. This time around, Tiger Crystal collaborates with SOULed OUT Ampang to demonstrate eclectic Western and Northern Indian food paired with the refreshingly crisp, easy drinking lager.

Featuring a menu specially recommended by the chef, this food pairing session is conducted exclusively to bring to light a unique experience for all the beer aficionados in Malaysia.

We were seated at upstairs of SOULed OUT Ampang that night. Being my first visit, I was impressed by the stylish & chic interior.

Equipped with huge LCD TV, definitely a great place to watch sport matches with bunch of friends!

We were served with some light bites before the mains.

Cheese Nachos (RM 20.00)

Bed of crunchy nachos topped with luscious melted cheese, tomato salsa, chili, sour cream and lettuce.

Deep Fried Chicken Wings (RM 18.00)

Being fans of fried chicken wings this no doubt was my favorite snack that night & believe it was a crowd pleaser and disappeared in mere moments. 😛

Tofu Puffs (RM 13.00)

These golden balls look alike fried tofu puffs encasing the filling of savory minced prawn mushroom & carrot. Light but delectable, dipped with the chili sauce provided for the extra kick!

Fried Calamari (RM 18.00)

This thinly batter fried squid was equally tantalizing too, make sure you act fast because it may ” Now you see, now you don’t” XD

Our first mains was so attractive to the eye & managed to wow us when the waitress brought near to our table!

Beef Espetada (RM85.00)

Presented with hanging meat skewer, this 400g charbroiled ribeye was marinated with garlic, laurel leaves & rock salt. The meat was so tender and infused nicely with the marinade, each bite sent my mouth & brain to the cloud nine , no kidding!

Roasted vegetables & roasted potatoes as sides.

2 types of sauces to go with the beef ~ Black Pepper Sauce & Mushroom Sauce.

Miso Grouper (RM 28.00)

Grouper fillet and scallop marinated in miso, grilled to perfection with slightly charred bits on the edges. The flavor was a tad too bland for my liking but luckily the aromatic shallot rice served along compensated the miss.

Masala Chicken Chop (RM 25.00)

Chicken marinated in buttermilk and masala grilled and served with roasted vegetable and wedges. The marinade definitely the magic ingredients, creating a burst of flavors within the succulent meat, love it!

Seafood Aglio Olio

Pasta cooked al-dente lightly tossed with olive oil, garlic & chili flakes topped with generous portion of fresh seafood like scallops, fish slices, prawns, squids & clams.

Sizzling Lamb Cutlet (RM 30.00)

Lamb cutlet marinated in special Indian herbs served on bed of vegetables drenched in spicy sauce. Served pipping hot on sizzling plate, the aroma was unmistakeable with robust taste of various herbs & spices.

The warm naan & puri bread were best companion to mopped off the spicy gravy!

Bananarama (RM 23.00)

Grilled bananas wrapped in vanilla crepes with 3 scoops of ice cream, topped with strawberries, corn-flakes and pretty up with dollop of whipped cream and chocolate syrup.

That night also our big brother, Sidney‘s “cow one” aka birthday too!
