Transparent Coffee @ Bangsar
If you’re looking for a pleasant space for a quiet respite from the city, Transparent Coffee located on Jalan Abdullah, Bangsar can be a decent option.
A coffee bar during daytime and transforms into a cocktail bar (Coley) after 5pm, Transparent Coffee’s boasts a minimal design but plays on the contrasting textures of surfaces. Pebble-y flooring at the front part of the cafe (where a lamp post is quirky being placed in the middle) paired with worn concrete wall before entering the circular archway leading to the second section dressed in neutral tone completed with contemporary style furniture.
The open plan counter where the patrons can catch a glimpse of the baristas at work.
Why it’s called Transparent Coffee? Because the cafe is transparent with its coffee trade which means their coffee beans are purchased directly from the farmers. A truly ‘farm to cup’ experience for the the customers.
The drinks menu features the usual black and white espresso based coffees, filter brews and non-coffee beverages such as lemonade, chocolate drink and tea. Food selection were rather limited and there were some pastries and cakes as well.

That sourdough with honey comb must be really good. ^_~ I think I can guess who had 2 cups of coffee. Nowadays, coffee pit stops can be expensive. >_<
Kris, actually this post combined 2 visits, hence the 2 cups of coffee. 😛
Looks like a nice place to wind down.
KY, indeed~
That’s a special name indeed. So they purchased directly from the farmer and thus named transparent. Interesting. The decor looks simple and comfortable of course.
Tekkaus, transparent trading~
