Uncle Jerry Bak Kut Teh
When hubby told me there is a very nice Lamb Kut Teh near our house, I was skeptical & confirm with him, ” Are you sure? Not Bak Kut Teh, not Chick Kut Teh but Lamb Kut Teh?” He answered me with a very confident face “YES, is Lamb Kut Teh!” As a foodie , sure I wanna find out and share it here with you guys right?
Located at an old shoplot facing the road where the Sunday pasar malam is.
Once we were seated, the condiments below were served.
Yau Char Kuay
Tau Bok
Oil rice with fried lots shallots, very aromatic indeed~
Bak Kut Teh
The soup was mild with minimal herbal taste, just the way I like how my BKT soup to be
. We requested for lean meat but the meat served was a bit too fat for our liking >.<
Lamb Kut Teh
It might look like our ordinary braised pork or dry version of BKT but once I took a bite into the lamb, it really gotten me really ecstatic! The aroma was unmistakeable and the taste was mind-blowing. The thick gravy was awesomely tasty with bursting flavors. The meat was tender with sightly distinctive flavor of the lamb!
Best companion of BKT on a rainy night. *Tummy warmer* 🙂
Total bill came to RM 34.40 for 1 pot of BKT, 1 pot of Lamb Kut Teh, 1 white rice, 1 oil rice, yau char kuay, tau bok & CHinese tea.
Verdict: Will I come back? Definitely YES! There are a few dishes that ignite my interest:- the pork leg stew & the drunken kampung chicken and of course more of the lamb BKT!

I like it, my mom will throw in some boiled eggs if she cook this, yummy!
1st time know Lamb kut teh, sound so interesting..too bad this place is far from my place.
Although my wife’s house is just opposite the shoplots, I’ve never tried the BKT here. Hmm..looks like time to give it a try now, since my inlaws are back and we will be making our weekend trip there now.
Oh, I love BKT, I like vinegal porkleg too…> <
U
i guess the Lamb Kut Teh is a must try if we are there 🙂
yum yum.. i like BKT.. but not the spare parts 😛
I also don like spare parts, that’s why all my BKT posts were all without offals =.=”
This is the first time I come across lamb kut teh. It sure looks good eventhough I don’t fancy lamb 🙂
Regarding the Mister Donut, I think their first outlet is in 1U. Except for the chewy ones (in chained-ball rings), the rest are ordinary only… nothing special.
Thanks for the info 🙂
just came back from the BKT. Love the vinegar Pork trotter. wah lau eh they added telur rebus and taufu into it. As for the BKT, we ordered the normal pork soup BKT. Taste ok-ok la
so the pork trotter is a must lor 🙂
I’ve heard of this place but have yet to try
Please try & let me know whether u like it or not 🙂
