Wonton Mee & Curry Mee @ Golden City Seafood Restaurant, Taman Sri Segambut

I was craving a good plate of Wonton Mee that Sunday morning and this place was one of the results from the search engines (the almighty Google and my trusty Xiao Hong Shu   ^ω^).

The Wonton Mee stall in Golden City Seafood Restaurant (Kopitiam) at Taman Sri Segambut.

Dry Wonton Mee (1.5 portion – RM9.50)

Served with the usual condiments of sliced Char Siew, blanched vegetables and Wonton soup, the highlight of this dish was secretly hiding underneath the noodles – look at those little crunchy golden nuggets!, there were plenty of them! The pork lard (oil) gave the soy sauce concoction a delightful fragrance, however the sauce was a little insufficient for my portion.

The Wonton noodles were cooked to a perfection al-dente texture, then Char Siew was forgettable and the Wontons were rather mediocre.

Curry Mee (RM9.00)

Hubby had curry mee which surprisingly quite commendable too. Thick and creamy curry broth, topped with many ingredients.

Verdict: If you like Wonton Mee and you’re in the vicinity, this certainly worth a try.
