Ee Chinese Cuisine ~ All You Can Eat Dim Sum

Do you a breakfast person like me? What I mean by “breakfast person”? Ok, let me elaborate more what I’ll have for my breakfast:- A plate of wonton mee, 2 half boiled eggs, 2 pieces of toast to go with the egg and a cup of drink.  Am I a big eater monster of what?!!!!  So can you imagine what’s my feeling when I knew about the All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum promotion at Ee Chinese Cuisine, Eastin Hotel, Petaling Jaya?  *Gleed with joy*

With over 20 varieties to choose from the dim sum menu, we can eat all we want, as many times as we like 🙂

Double-Boiled Shark’s Fin Dumpling

The first item catch our attention in the menu and the portion and presentation is exactly the same what we saw in the menu! The soup was intensely flavoured from the hours of double boiling the chicken and brimming with ingredients such as sharkfin, dried scallop  and goji berries. For people who do not take sharkfin, you can inform the wait staff to omit it from the soup.

The huge dumpling encasing with the precious fresh scallop, crab meat and mushroom albeit the skin was slightly thick.

Steamed Cod Fish Dumpling

Flaky cod fish was used as filling, I like it because I scare of overdose of meat when my dim sum session.

Steamed Siew Mai with Goose Liver

Forget about your ordinary siew mai and indulge yourself with this luxurious foie gras siew mai! These definitely won votes of everyone on my table but not me as I really can’t used to the “weird” taste of the goose liver.  *OK, call me stupid for don’t know how to appreciate it >.<*

Prawn Dumplings (Har Gau)

Deep Fried Crab Claw with Prawn Paste

Mini Egg Tarts

For me, a good egg tart must have requirement of a light, crispy and flaky tart shell to hold the sufficient egg filling. Ee’s version definitely gotten me really ecstatic with it’s melt-in-your-mouth pastry shell and the wobbly, luscious egg custard.  Almost perfect in my book. Almost. Not absolutely perfect but close enough!

Deep Fried Spring Roll with Eel and Prawn

Crispy skin with a whole prawn and a tiny piece of unagi (eel) nicely wrapped in. I wish they could more generous with the portion of eel as I’m a avid fans of unagi 😛

Mini Burger with Crispy Prawn

They just simply too adorable to the eye, aren’t they?

A mini stack of Chinese mantou, extremely crispy bread crumbs battered prawns and cheese slice.

Lotus Paste Puff

Performed in uber cute octopus shape with sweet lotus paste and savory salted egg yolk filling.

Malai Kuih

Pipping hot and fluffy with very distinctive and aromatic gula Melaka fragrance.

Other than the dim sum in All-You-Can-Eat menu, we also savor some item that off of the menu.

Scallop Puff

A huge fresh scallop hiding in the crispy pastry. I just simply love the feeling when I sank my teeth into the layers of pastry, messy but who cares!

Steamed BBQ Pork Bun with Abalone (RM 30.00+ / pcs)

The BBQ pork bun (char siew bao)had fluffy skin encasing the char siew which basted with glistening sweet & stick honey concoction and topped with luxurious abalone! Although this is not in the menu but worth a try to pamper yourself once in a blue moon 😛

There are choices dessert in the menu too and we just ignored the “SOS” from our stomach (too bloated) and continued to savor more 😛

Lemongrass Jelly with Longan and Lemon Sauce

For those who like their dessert with moderate sweetness and the lemon sauce really brought out the refreshing sensation 🙂

Mango Puree with Pudding Noodles

Many of may dining companions thought that it was “kuey teow” or “chee cheong fun” served with mango puree when it was brought to our tables! *Skeptical mode ON*  lol But steady guys….it’s just slivers of chewy pudding 😛

A Harmony of Avocado Puree with Ice Cream

Make sure you mix well both avocado puree and the yam ice-cream before digging in or else you will end up like me with scowling face because there subtle hint of bitterness aftertaste if you eat the avocado puree alone >.<

Big eater monster was satisfied, how about you? Let’s forget the usual breakfast do and save your appetite for THIS!
