BreadFruits Fruit & Bakery @ Desa Sri Hartamas (Revisit)
I love my Non-Halal brunch at Breadfruits and it was a pleasant dining experience indeed.
Serving healthy juices, food prepared with fresh and wholesome ingredients. Breadfruits always a popular spot for some hearty and tasty breakfast or brunch. Started from June last year, they have commenced a full-fledged dinner menu which included variety choices of antipasto, pork, chicken & seafood dishes, pasta, risotto, salad and many more.
I noticed there was minor changes of seating in the restaurant, booth seats are available now for more privacy. The shop’s produce section that offers fresh and in-season fruits still located near the entrance.
Energizer Juice (RM 10.90)
Juice concoction of fruits and vegetables such as banana, pineapple, celery, guava, beetroot and carrot, just to name a few.
Wild Honey Apple Pear Pork Chop (RM32.80)
Being one of the most raved dish in a few blogs, I really imparted high expectation to this porcine dish. Featured a decent piece of pork chop with bone attached lays on bed of apple and pear wedges, doused with sweet and savory sauce.
The pork chop had a beautiful golden brown outer however texture was not as tender as I would have hoped, it was rather coarse and chewy especially on the fat part near the skin. The skin also not quite crackling as it should be. The sauce infused with cinnamon, star anise and wild honey didn’t won my heart as well. The flavors was complex, savory, sweet and herbaceous, it did not tickle my fancy to be honest. But don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad, the flavors just doesn’t suit my taste bud.
Sicilian Butcher’s Clam Stew (RM33.80)
Hill of pork sausages, clams, cannellini beans, zucchini & tomatoes swam in a pool of tangy tomato gravy. It was sufficiently bold in flavors with pleasing herbal nuances, the minced garlic boosted more flavors to the overall dish. The served along bread is ideal for mopping up the delicious gravy.
Tangy Tomato Chorizo (RM22.80)
Another appetizing tomato base pasta dish featured variety of ingredients such as sausages, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, olive and handful of arugula and shredded cheese completed the appearance.
Verdict: The dishes we’ve tried did not hit us with huge surprise if compared with the breakfast/brunch menu, in the other words a pretty average one. Prices are slightly on the higher side and it would be hard to be convinced for a revisit anytime soon.

Sounds like a cafe that i’d like to visit!
Suit your health conscious lifestyle~
I need to know how to make this apple pear pork chop thingy, plenty of pork where I stay near Klang 😀
Google the recipe, hehe ^__^
i thought it’s bakery…LOL…silly me. Nice la the food
They have cakes and small selection of pastries, if not mistaken 😛
I like this cafe a lot too.. tried their breakfast (or brunch) set but don’t know they have dinner menu as well. Yay, will definitely revisit them again!
I love their breakfast/brunch selections howver the dinner not really impressed me >_<
I loved the food the last time I was here….but I didn’t choose the dishes you had…other than the pork chop which turned out to be my least favourite too. Yay, I think we have similar taste buds as we both seemed to come to the same conclusion…the fat was chewy and not crackling and the sauce didn’t tickle our fancy. In case you’d like to know the dishes I had, you can read it here…
