Koosh Koffeez @ Solaris Dutamas
One can hardly miss this huge fuschia coach at the entrance of Koosh Koffeez, Solaris Dutamas. Me no exception too, it attracted my attention immediately on my visit a few weeks ago.
A mandatory pose with the plush coach 😛
The interior, not entirely spacious but not too cramped too. Furnished with wooden flooring, light colour walls and contrasting with elegant velvet blue and purple chairs and sofas. Further accentuates the ambiance are those gorgeous chandeliers and funky art pieces.
Coffee machines are on sale too at Koosh Koffeez.
Using Arabica beans from their main business, Arabica Estate and endorsed by Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE), Koosh Koffeez pride themselves in serving good quality coffees. Do check out with the staff if you interested to buy some home.
Baller Koffee (RM 16.00)
Their signature coffee comes with 2 shots of espresso, an ice ball which known as whiskeyball and completed with creamer or soda. I didn’t try this but I believe there will be surprise for that concoction of coffee + soda!
Romeo (RM 12.00)
A blend of roses and mocha, not only instagram-worthy but the taste also enticing with pleasant rose aroma lingering in mouth.
Karamel Macchiato (RM 14.00)
There are good selection of teas and non-caffeine beverages too in the menu.
Bruschetta Trio (RM 25.00)
A sharing platter of canepes, tomato & basil, foie gras terrine and smoked salmon.
The Mandarin (RM 18.00)
I enjoyed immensely the crispy mesclun salad, roasted tomatoes, almonds flakes, croutons and orange segments in goma dressing. The addition of smoked duck lifted up the flavors of the overall salad.
Siren’s Salad (RM 23.00)
Pumpkin Soup Ravioli (RM 13.00)
Creamy and thick pumpkin soup served with cheese ravioli, my kind of hearty comfort food.
Lamb & Sun Dried Tomatoes (RM 21.00) & Grilled Chicken & Mushroom (RM 19.00)
A Mediterranean offering of Turkish pide bread served with either grilled chicken or sauteed spiced minced lamb that comes with condiments such as sun-dried tomatoes, sauteed shimeji and white button mushrooms, hummus, garlic aioli, sour cream and salsa. A not very memorable dish for me but I like the minced lamb, very tasty with bursting flavors.
Egg Ben With Salmon & Asparagus (RM 23.00)
Koosh Koffeez serve all-day breakfast too and we’ve tried one of them which was a decent platter of poached egg on toast with Hollandaise, smoked salmon, chicken bratwurst, buttered asparagus, sautéed shimeiji and white button mushrooms and roasted tomatoes.
The poached egg was perfectly oozed, always a moment of anticipation.
Karbonara (RM 23.00)
An utterly sinful plate of pasta drenched in luscious and rich cream sauce further moistened by the onsen egg. Generous amount of beef and duck bacon were added for that extra flavors and textures.
King Krab (RM 33.00)
Crowned with a whole deep fried soft shell crab, the spaghetti in roasted sesame cream sauce was not cloyingly rich and overpowering. The flavors of the sauce was light too and showcased the briny taste of the crustacean.
Cinnamon Bolognese (Rm 23.00)
A classic Bolognese pasta with a twist! The tangy tomato base sauce paired with minced chicken or lamb is brilliantly infused with cinnamon and nutmeg. It had a harmony note of spices in every slurps.
Kasablanca (RM 25.00)
Cumin-fried minced lamb, sour cream, capsicums, onions and jalapenos.
Acapulco (RM 25.00)
Grilled chicken and sun-dried tomatoes in handcrafted pesto.
Both pizza were freshly made with crispy edges and slightly chewy dough, flavors was lovely however I hope for more ingredients for a more satisfying bite.
James’ Brownie (RM 18.00)
Tiramisu (RM 18.00)
Both waffles were fared quite well and will certainly satiate the sweet monster in you. If I were to pick my favourite, the James’ Brownie would have won hands down! Crispy outer with chewy inner paired with intense chocolaty taste . I also adore the crushed almond that offered a lovely crunch factor.
Verdict: This place definitely for coffee lovers to try out some unique coffee creations. Not a coffee lover/drinker like me? Fret not, their food will not disappointed you too!
James’ Brownie is my pick too! =)))))
We share share ok? ^__*
wah lau wei……like a queen ni 🙂
A fat old queen =.=”
Wah those chairs!
The food looks presentable!
I bet you will definitely pose sitting on the chair too if you were here, hehe 😛
Quite a different ambience to see plush velvet armchairs in a coffee place! 🙂
Yes, the plush velvet chairs is uncommon to be seen in a cafe, I thought this place is a lounge or clubbing place at 1st sight 😛
