Yen Can Cook ~ Air Fried Pumpkin

It’s definitely my right decision to get organic pumpkin for today’s dish because the result was extremely satisfying! My friend has been telling me how great were those organic vegetables that she gets from one of the organic farms and the pumpkin and sweet potatoes are some of the most raved items. They are sweeter and I’m totally believe because I experienced it before when I dined in HERE where the salad was made from organic vegetables.


The pumpkin had a luscious creamy texture after being air fried and the simple seasoning of salt and black pepper further elevated its natural sweetness. If you don’t have an air fryer at home, oven works well too! The seasoning mixture can be changed according to your taste .

Ingredients (Serve: 3-4)

800g – 1kg pumpkin, cleaned, seeds removed & cut into wedges

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, chopped

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Chopped parsley for garnishing (optional)

Step 1: Preheat air fryer to 180°C.

Step 2: In a small bowl mix together the olive oil, chopped garlic, salt and pepper. Stir to blend. 

Step 3: Rub the seasoning mixture (Step 2) on all pumpkin slices.

Step 4: Place the pumpkin slices the frying basket, air fry for 10-15 minutes (depending on the thickness of the pumpkin) until golden & tender.  

Step 5: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
