I have a really dry and de-hydrated skin which sometimes will give me minor tight sensation or skin peeled off. This skin condition lasted for 2-3 years although I’ve tried so many skin hydrating products but still not much changes. Maybe some of you will recommend me some high end brands which can give drastic improvement, but it’s impossible for me to invest on those products with limited budget.
I’ve heard so much about Laneige especially their star product, the Water Sleeping Mask which manage to lock-in and supply ample of moisture to the skin through the night. I’m really want to try that out for the longest time until I met with Laneige roadshow at Midvalley Megamall a few months ago. I’ve splurged a little bit for a set of their Water Bank series and after a few months of using, it’s time for me to write the review of the products.

Power Essential Skin Refiner (200ml)
Packaging: Glass bottle in pastel blue
Texture: Transparent water form, mild scent
Contains: ~ Bio Dusali extracted from fermented seaweed with
strong energy life, supplies energy to the skin and
promotes keratin turnover.
~ Hyacinth extracts ~ purify the skin from heavy metal,
smog, and other harmful materials to leave the skin
moist and transparent.
~ Exfoliating enzymes gently remove the dead skin cells
with less irritation.
~ Skin-nourishing royal jelly extracts and sugar cane
extracts refine dry and rough skin for moist and healthy
skin.

My verdict: Use this as face toner, no tight feeling after applying and can feel the immediate effect of well-moistured skin.
Balancing Emulsion Light (120ml)
Packaging: Glass bottle in pastel blue, pump dispenser
Texture: Light runny cream form in milky colour, mild scent
Contains: ~ Bio Dusali extracted from fermented seaweed with
strong energy of life, supplies energy to the skin and
promotes keratin turnover.
~ Hyacinth extracts purify the skin from heavy metal,
smog, and other harmful materials to leave the skin
moist and transparent.
~ Niacinamide helps for brightened skin tone with keratin
care.
~ Ginger extracts controls excess sebum and skin troubles
while balancing oil-moisture for oily skin.
My verdict: Lightweight, absorb fairly quickly into skin, leave no stocky feeling.
Water Bank Essence_EX (60ml)
Packaging: Glass bottle in pastel blue, pump dispenser
Texture: Light runny cream form in milky colour, mild scent
Secret indredients
My verdict: I’ll gently spread the essence on the face in circular motion to stimulate blood circulation allowing absorption deep into the skin. Then spread from center of the chin to sides of mouth which lifting up the chin line. Lastly apply on forehead. I like the light moisturized feeling and the velvety finish.
Water Bank Moisture Cream_EX (50ml)
Packaging: Blue jar with small plastic spatula attached
Texture: Cream with slight bodied in milky colour
Deeply replenishes with rich moisture to soothe dry and blotchy skin. It also helps to strengthen the skin’s defense barrier to lock-in moisture for 24 hours of healthy suppleness.
My verdict: A bit rich if compare to other products above, I only apply it during night time.
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask (70ml)
Packaging: Glass jar in blue
Nicely seal attached with a small plastic spatula.
Texture: Light gel, mild scent
Colour: Light baby blue
Contains: Sleeptox ~ restores and repairs the skin damages
Moisture Wrap ~ acts like porous moisture film that locks-in
moisture through the night
Sleepscent ~ Induce deep sleep and relaxes body and mind
My verdict: The texture is light and spread easily on skin. Slightly sticky once applied but well-absorbed into skin after a while. A revitalized and dewy skin the next morning. I’ve been using it 1-2 times a week for 3 months, my de-hydrated skin improves quite a lot and happy with the result!
Overall: Improvement is visible even my beautician whose complaint every time I go for facial regarding my de-hydrated skin didn’t complaint anymore!
I’m Laneige user too, using their water bank series and I love it very much. But after I went to korea in Feb, I sapu many water series products from Tony Moly. because Laneige pricing is not really cheap in Korea too. 🙁
Tony Moly available at Malaysia? How’s the effect if compare with Laneige?
Laneige products are nice to use.
If you have dry skin, it’s best to do facial mask weekly to help restore moist to your skin. Once skin is dry, it can lead to many problems… =)
I wish I have time & $$ for weekly facial 🙁 Now I only have my facial done at salon like once a month ~>_<~

Recently I have found Vitamin E cream helps to ease my itchy sensitive and dehydrated skin on my face, it’s a product from Australia given by my sister in law. Me too can’t afford to buy high end branded skin care products. Luckily vitamin E cream soothe my skin for now.
Too bad we can’t get that product here. Mind to share what’s the name of the Vitamin E cream?

can you share steps using water bank series for day and night. currently i am using water bank for day as per below steps
day care: water bank essence EX – water eye gel – water bank gel cream
night care: water sleeping mask only.
I have Water Bank Moisture Cream_EX but not using it because i think it suitable for dry skin type only. my skin type is normal to oily (a bit).
I also have Power Essential Skin Refiner and Balance Emulsion Light but i don’t use it because don’t know the correct step to use and most suitable time to apply. Can i apply it on night only because I always rushing in the morning for office.
