La Juiceria Superfoods @ Bandar Menjalara, Kepong
I first knew La Juiceria was the introduction of its bottled cold-pressed juices which were claimed to be healthier than regular juice because it retains more nutrients, enzymes, and flavor. I never had any of them due to the steep pricing and I always believe that eating the whole fresh fruit is the best way to get the most nutrients.
To fulfill the market demands and product diversification, La Juiceria has included handmade food and beverages under the sister companies – La Juiceria Superfoods and Goodness Greens.
Although we are not in these categories, healthy diet is also important to reduce the risk of developing certain health conditions in the future. Hence, we were here at La Juiceria Superfoods at Bandar Menjalara.
Situated in an unlikely neighbourhood of Bandar Menjalara (◔_◔), La Juiceria Superfoods occupied the first floor of the corner lot with utterly spacious lobby and dining area. We were the only customers when we arrived and commendations must be given to the staffs on duty that day because it was nearly closing time but they still served us.
There are good variety of choices in the menu to cater different preferences and diet needs. Salad, Soup, Poke Bowls, Don, Wraps, Rolls, Keto meal (swrved with Konjac and caulirice), plant-based smoothies, desserts, cold-pressed juices, coffees, teas and even kids meal, all is packed into a rather massive menu. All dishes are completed with total calories and nutrition info.
Kale Mushroom Asada Salad (RM23.90)
Served with light tasting sesame soy dressing, there were Tempeh, mushroom Asada style mushroom chunks, cucumber, red cabbage, roasted cauliflower with turmeric and roasted sweet potatoes on bed of kale.
Mini Teriyaki Australian Beef Poke Bowl (RM18.90)
The thoughtful menu offers normal and mini size portion for Poke Bowls, Don and salads avoid food wastage. Sam opted to have
The mixture of turmeric rice and quinoa was topped with colourful ingredients of grilled Australian beef sliced, yellow onion, poached egg, roasted veggies and shredded seaweed. The Teriyaki sauce was served at side to allow diner to add according to preference.
Super Nasi Dulang (RM31.90)
Served on a bamboo basket lined with parchment paper, the compelling platter consisted of turmeric rice, lemongrass fried chicken, Kerabu Ulam, Tempeh, Sambal, Ulam, hard boiled egg, cauliflower, broccoli, as well as curry with grilled bean curd.
The lemongrass fried chicken was adequately marinated but though it didn’t come with crunchy skin.
We only noticed this promotion banting when we were done, I should have showed them my jogging record to get the discount. =.=”
Verdict: It’s glad to see more and more restaurants like this which provide health conscious menu that cater to different diet needs and the bonus point is, the food is tasty!
