Breakfast at Tous les Jours @ Empire Damansara
Tous Les Jours (pronounced as Too-Ler-Joo), means “everyday” in French is a French-Asian bakery. Established in 1997 in South Korea, Tous Les Jours (TLJ) has more than 1300 outlets in Korea, United States, Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam. It offers a delectable range of breads, pastries, cakes and beverages. There are also breakfast sets, soup, salad as well as sandwiches if you want a more proper meal.
I’ve visited TLJ Bangsar and WOLO Hotel, KL outlet a few times for their cakes and pastries and I’m absolutely love the setting and ambiance. During last school holidays, we opted to have breakfast at their Empire Damansara branch for before we went to Kidzania.

Oh my Do Min-joon~~~ (A character in Korean drama <You Who Came from the Stars> played by Kim Soo-hyun) He greeted us once we stepped out from the lift ^__^

There are 2 dining areas for this outlet. One is sharing the same place with the pastries display & ordering counter while another bigger section located at block beside it. Β
The latter is beautifully designed, spacious, high ceiling, brick walls as well as the chic wooden furnishing that speak sophistication. It receives great illumination of natural light from the glass windows. The overall setting is blended harmoniously with the colonial architecture of Empire Damansara.

This huge chandelier definitely TLJ’s main feature of their interior design as I saw it in other outlets as well. (same design but different sizes)
It’s self service where you pick pick your choice of breads, pastries or cakes and order your drinks or food then pay at the counter. The waiter will later bring the food to your table.

Lime Mojito (RM 11.23) & Carrot Juice (RM 12.17)
Quite overpriced for beverage I think, agree?
The food options was quite limited, breakfast, sandwiches (both have 5 choices), tartine, soup and salad.

TLJ Breakfast (RM 14.06)
A platter comprises of 2 beautifully done sunny side up, beef bacon, grilled potatoes cubes and tomato, a slice of sour dough with a side salad. Everything was pretty generic and really nothing to shout about.

Egg Benedict (RM 13.11)
Poached egg and turkey ham with Hollandaise sauce in between toasted English muffin. Served with beef bacon, grilled potatoes chunks and tomato and salad.

We were happy with the portion considering the price paid. The poached egg was slightly overcooked, solid egg white and the yolk not really flowy for our liking. But they are generous with the Hollandaise sauce and the flavor was alright, nothing really impressive but nothing to complain as well.

Verdict: Food was mere run-of-the-mill but the prices definitely the attractive point. (not applicable to the beverages though) Great ambience and setting nonetheless, I think I’ll stick to their cakes and pastries π

Lucky tarak comment blindly…saw the photo so attractive leh the food but then too bad …maybe tgat day was the Chef’s day off. Lol
Food not really bad but the flavors just very mediocre, nothing too outstanding π
It has been ages I have not visited this outlet in Bangsar. It is always packed all day there. I should visit this one at Empire since it is closer to home. I always liked all their bakes and breads.
You are right! Their pastries and cakes are good but the food in the menu was just very standard, nothing impressive π
My last trip here more than a year ago was for pastries and cakes…and the few I tried weren’t very memorable. But at such attractive prices for the breakfast, can’t expect too much-lah! π
Haha, that’s what I’ve wrote, can’t expect too much for that pricing LOL
