Legacy Suites Bangkok @ Sukhumvit Soi 29, Bangkok
After 2 nights stay at Amari Watergate Bangkok, we moved to our second hotel, Legacy Suites Bangkok located at Soi 29, Sukhumvit district. The location can be quite tricky, along an alley away from the main Sukhumvit road. So make sure you get the address in Thai if you plan to come here with cab.
Walking distance to Phrom Phong & Asoke BTS Skytrain stations (10 minutes) & Sukhumvit MRT Metro (20 minutes). Shopping mall such as Emporium Shopping Center (Sukhumvit Soi 24) & the luxurious Emquartier Shopping Centre (BTS Phrom Phong) are located nearby too.
It is a serviced apartment features 183 rooms comprising studios and one-bedroom suites of various sizes.
The check in counter
The spacious lobby in modern and chic design, furnished with comfortable sofas.
We were ushered to our Deluxe Studio located at 2nd floor after the swift check in process. Dressed in earthy tone with wooden flooring, the 46 square meters Deluxe Studio definitely more spacious than what I’ve expected. The room offers the option of a king sized bed or two single beds as well as a separated living area, dining table for two, kitchenette, and bathroom.
The living area with a sofa, 32” LCD flat screen TV, DVD player, iron and board and dressing table(!). Free WIFI is provided as well.
A rather well equipped kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave oven, pot, cutlery, plates and bowls. The usual complimentary drinking water and tea/coffee making facilities are provided too.
Further in is the bedroom with a King size bed, working desk cum dressing table, 32” LCD flat screen TV, wardrobe, electronic safe, bathrobe and slippers. I like the big window which allow ample of natural sunlight penetrate in. The only grouch was the mattress was too hard for my liking.
The bathroom is opposite the kitchenette, it may not look spacious but it was more than enough for us with all the basic toiletries, towels, hair dryer were provided.
Separated shower cubicle and bath tub. Cleanliness was top notch but we encountered an unpleasant smell after we using the toilet which we suspect most probably was the drainage pipe problem.
Tastefully decorated lift area.
The swimming pool was inviting, this is also the main reason I chose here as my second accommodation at Bangkok. There is adult pool and kid pool (with gentle Jacuzzi function)with sun loungers (quite limited though). One have to pass by the check in counters/lobby if you want to go the swimming pool which I think is not quite convenient. There is also a tennis court on the rooftop which we didn’t have time to check it out.
Captivating night view of the pool from our room.
Well equipped gym room beside the swimming pool.
Our breakfast was at this Chillz Restaurant located at another block next to the hotel lobby.
Echoing the soothing setting of the lobby and hotel room, the restaurant adopted a simple and minimalist theme with light beige and contrasting red furniture.
The buffet spread was adequately satisfying, salad, cold cut, cereals, hot food, fruits, yogurt, tea and coffee.
The star of the buffet, unlimited of crunchy bacon!
My energetic breakfast to awake my sense for the whole day activities at Bangkok.
Verdict: It was a pleasant stay overall, spacious room, beautiful swimming pool and decent breakfast. But we hope that they will look into the problem of that unpleasant smell in the room.
Nice looking hotel with spacious rooms ! The toiletry bottles look very cute too !
Very spacious indeed!
This hotel is new and fabulous! I will definitely stay at this Legacy Suite. Last time I stayed at the high floors of the luxury Emporium Suite which is right next to Emporium Shopping. Location good, space very big and price also very high!
I go Google your luxury Emporium Suite, very nice and elegant looking hotel and the price is very “pretty” too >_<
wow nice suites.. plus points that you can cook too if you don’t wanna eat out! 😀
Haha, the kitchenette is not needed when travel to Bangkok because there are too many food I wanna try! LOL
Ooooh the swimming pool is lovely! I love beautiful swimming pools as it is one of the must haves for any travel and staycation.
For the kids right? ^__^
I don’t think a cooking station is needed in Bangkok, tummy space is already limited with so much street food around!
I couldn’t agree more!
Nice and spacious room! If traveling with kids, swimming pool must be the priority. If only traveling with my partner, technically a clean and comfy bed and bathroom is what I need. Haha
Same here, I don’t swim and I rather spend my time visit more places or shop more, haha!
You guys stayed at such a nice hotel!
I went Bkk twice and twice also stayed at boutique hotel, very very small only, thinking to spend those money on shopping rather than on hotels, hahaha!
Boutique hotel should be quite nice in decoration right? Actually I like stay at pretty pretty hotel, provided the price is within my budget 😛
OMG, i enjoyed my stay in this hotel during my 1st trip to BKK, when LEGACY SUITES just launched back in 2009. I can recognize their signature swimming pool..They really maintain the hotel very good after these years ^^
难以相信也,我以为那么”偏僻”的酒店不会有人住过,哈哈!
bacon and fried eggs and poached eggs … that would make a good start to each morning here! 🙂
Perfect combination for breakfast!
Whoa….I like the unlimited crunchy bacon! But why are the sausages and ham “swimming” in water? 😀
sort of “poached”? LOL
Nice! This looks more like a serviced apartment than a hotel with all the cooking facilities. I like that option as sometimes I’ll like to cook when travelling. It can be fun! I cooked in Melbourne and also in Paris, got apartments with cooking facilities for that. I like the serviced apartment concept, it feels more like home than a hotel.
The kitchenette is nice for countries that you mentioned but not for Bangkok as there are too many good food out there, and very reasonably priced too 😛
