Shakariki 432″ @ Desa Sri Hartamas
Hubby drove us to this place for lunch after one of the Sam’s tuition classes. After I checked out the menu, I only found out that this restaurant is another branch of Shakariki 432″ that I visited with my friends on last year.
We were greeted by the counter seats which can catch a glimpse of chefs at work via the kitchen’s glass window.
There are more seating further inside, as well as a private room and banquet seats on one side of the restaurant.
After perusing the menus, we opted for dishes in the lunch menu which provides good return in value. Some of the set come with free refill of green tea, rice, miso soup, pickles and salad.
Rosu Katsu Set (RM35.00)
I picked this from the list of Value Lunch Set that comprises the main dish, refillable rice, miso soup, salad, pickles (in the salad bowl) and green tea.
It was a rather substantial portion of pork loin cutlet, thinly battered and beautifully deep fried to a tender and succulent finish.
Tonkotsu Ramen (RM23.00)
Completed with all trimming for a good bowl of Ramen such as perfectly cooked Ajitama with runny egg yolk, bamboo shoot, shredded wood ear fungus, tender pieces of Chashu, seaweed and abundance of chopped spring onion. The consistency of the broth although wasn’t as thick as I would have hoped but it still packed with good umami flavour.
Curry Udon (RM25.00)
Smooth slippery udon drenched in pool of savoury sweet Japanese curry broth. There were pork belly slices, sliced onion and Kamaboko (Japanese fish cakes) . A well worth slurping up bowl of noodle.
Salmon Sashimi (RM12.00)
Fresh and thick cut, we have no complaint. 😛
Verdict: The value of money lunch menu certainly won our hearts and this place is a worthy addition to my revisit list.

Ah, just like PH, you too had a good bowl of ramen with torched chasiu and a deep orange-coloured ajitama egg. Lol….the Publika branch (you went with friends) did not warrant a repeat visit but this branch in Desa Sri Hartamas (with your family) is on your revisit list. So, what has changed between the two branches…different execution and taste?….since prices are pretty similar except for a little bit more value for their lunch menu.
Kris, the food I tried at Publika were just mediocre and the portion was less compatible to the price, if compared with the set lunch menu.
