Softsrve Ice Cream & Dessert Bar @ Sri Petaling

Another sweet treat suggested by hubby a week after THIS and I can’t resist the sweet invitation:P This time we venture to a place that we’re not really familiar with, Sri Petaling.

Houses numerous of restaurants, cafes and dessert parlors, Sri Petaling definitely a good place for food hunting. But at the same time, getting a parking at the commercial area can be a pain in the neck. Hubby was attracted by the utterly cute looking desserts at Tiny Temptress Artisan Patisserie however the place was packed to the brim when we arrived. Felt disappointed and we settled ourselves at Softsrve which located right below it. (Softsrve has another outlet at Damansara Uptown which is nearer to our house >_<)

It was a busy afternoon at Seftsrve Ice Cream & Dessert Bar, it was filled with noise from the crowds and servers busy serving the food and clearing the tables. The place is dressed in Japanese inspired pristine white theme paired with furniture in pastel tone that’s capable to put people at ease. Al-fresco seats are available too.

Make your order at the counter and the waiter will serve it you.

Dynamite Cereal Milk (RM11.00)

Cereal milk soft serve ice cream with cotton candy cloud and sprinkles of popping candy. Dry ice vapour seeping out from the cup definitely the wow factor which provide a hint of visual excitement. The soft serve is served in a smaller cup on top of the tall cup of  dry ice. The dry ice is not just for looks, it can maintain the coldness of the ice-cream and make the ice cream melts slower.

As for the flavor, the taste of the cereal/cornflakes was not as pronounced, but I enjoyed the creaminess and milkiness texture nonetheless.

Sam on the other hand dug in the sweet cotton candy happily.

Waffle with Soft Serve (RM15.00)

Served with sauce of your choice, burn butter espresso sauce or salted caramel & maple syrup, the waffles came with chopped nuts & berries is combination that had me sighing at pleasure with every bite. I like the texture of the waffles, it was perfectly browned with crispy outer and soft fluffy inner. The chopped nuts also works well with the salted caramel & maple syrup sauce as well as the cereal milk soft serve. It provides a perfect crunch elements and successfully cut through the sweetness. Simply gorgeous~

Verdict: Price definitely not cheap for ice cream (think of the price of McD’s similar product >_<) but the variety of toppings and the novelty serving idea make it worth the price paid.
