The Morning After @ Activo Plaza, Bandar Sri Damansara

We have entered the Renaissance period of cafes. We have seen an explosion of cafes (literally exploded on the scene) during these two years. For every new cafe that I have visited, I have spotted at least one or two new cafes nearby. As for my neighbourhood, I have yet seen any establishment until I read about The Morning After at Activo Plaza, a fairly new office tower cum commercial shoplot at Bandar Sri Damansara, Kepong from his blog.

A spin-off from its first outlet at Jaya One, The Morning After tucked away in Activo Plaza is the latest addition after Pavilion in Bukit Bintang and Penang’s International Airport.

 

The cafe is stirring up a chic and contemporary facade with walls painted in black, wooden tables, high metal stools and trendy sofas completed the whole place.

Large glass panel windows at both entrance and back door allow loads of natural light beaming through.

 

Partnered with modern framed art pieces, plants (should I call them mini tree? ^__^) in metal drums and some unique lighting, the space exudes a charming vibe and at the same time a laid-back atmosphere for dining.

 

Ordering is self-service at the counter.

 

Planned to try out their ice cream but we were too stuffed after polished off our food. A good excuse for a revisit perhaps 😛

 

Americano (RM 7.90+)

No complaint from him, so I assumed the coffee suit his taste bud ^__*

Bring home the coffee beans if you like their coffee

 

Hibiscus & Lime (RM 10.90+)

 

The Morning After’s menu is pretty comprehensive which include all day breakfast, pastas, sandwiches, soups, pies, salads, burgers， chicken, steak, fish, light bites and desserts.

American Dream (RM 19.90+)

Filled with hearty ingredients, my American Dream definitely an awesome and memorably one. Allows you to choose a few choices from its range such as poached, scrambled or sunny side up for the eggs, beef bacon or turkey ham, chicken or lamb sausage and roasted potatoes or toasted bread. 

Look at my perfectly done poached egg, the oozing goodness with just a gentle prick. Oh so good~

 

The lamb sausage too screamed for attention, juicy and flavorful with right doses of seasoning.

 

The roasted potatoes and cherry tomatoes on the other hand a bit lackluster and slightly too oily for my liking.

 

Cheesy Turkey Love (RM 17.90+)

“Turkey ham with loads of cheese”, this is the description in their menu and what I’ve got was exactly what I’ve expected! The bagel was filled with lavish amount of cheese, lettuce, sliced tomatoes and turkey ham, one bite and I was contented The luscious cheese really provided abundance of satisfactory, sinful but delicious~

 

Verdict: This place certainly worth to pay a revisit as there are many other captivating dishes to try on and not too mention that it is so near to me 🙂
