Yen Can Cook ~ Shredded Pork with Pickled Mustard Noodles 榨菜肉丝面
Shredded Pork with Pickled Mustard Noodles (Zha Cai Rou Si Mian 榨菜肉丝面), a very common noodle dish that can be found in any noodles specialty restaurants. This is always one of the simplest noodle options in the menu with non-fancy topping of shredded pork and pickled mustard only. This noodles is my absolute comfort food because I’m a bit of a pickle lover and it is a wholesome meal completed with vegetable (pickled is considered vegetable also, right? =.=”), meat and carbo.

This is so savory and delicious. I believe I have eaten stir fried shredded pork with pickled mustard and I love it.
PH, I think I will try to cook the stir fried shredded pork with pickled mustard that you mentioned because I still have some pickled mustard in the fridge. 😛
The two smaller bowls of noodles must be yours and Sam’s. ^_~ Oh, I love white coloured plates and bowls with a black rim (new also?)……simple but elegant 🙂
Kris, yes, those are bowls from the same Taobao haul. 😛 Those servings were for photography only, my hubby definitely can’t finish that big bowl of noodles =.=”
I normally buy 榨菜木耳instant pack , add some meat and stir fried with noodle.
Anonymous, I’ve seen instant pack Zha Cai alone, with wood ear fungus one I never see. LOL You bought in Malaysia?
ya, i bought from Oriental Outlet at BMC mall (mahkota cheras). But i also saw other shops selling pork selling it as well.
It is always tastier when we add pickled vegetables into any dishes. It would enhance the taste to become very appetizing. Your comfort food is most welcome to my stomach.
TM, seem like this is a comfort food for many also 🙂
