Melur & Thyme @ Suria KLCC
Located at a quiet corridor somewhere near KLCC’s Isetan & Harrods Cafe, the dark wooden panelled facade of Melur & Thyme is appealing and not to mention the eye-catching floral / leaves pattern logo which really manage to attract attention of the passerby.
The huge logo embedded on the black wall at the entrance.
The interior definitely deserves special mention with plenty of special designs has put into it. The long & narrow space indoor is filled with tables and chairs side by side (luckily not too cramped), tastefully decorated with hand-drawn sketches, unique lamp shades and laser cut metal mural arts on the ceilings. A harmony combination of old kampung & contemporary elements, a mix of East & West.
The outdoor seating at the corridor and there is al-fresco dining option too fronting the road.
Watermelon Juice (RM 12.00++)
Cappuccino (RM 13.00++)
Filtered Water (RM 1.00++)
Sam love the foam of the cappuccino and luckily this didn’t make her insomnia like mommy =.=”
A selection of local delights and Western food dominate the menu with some exciting tapas items. Melur & Thyme aim to bring East and West, old and new together, paying tribute to traditional cooking processes while adding a modern touch to complete the overall concept.
Wild Mushroom Soup (RM 12.00++)
A rather satisfying soup with abundant of mushroom bits, chunk & creamy at the same time!
Carbonara with Smoked Duck (RM 28.00++)
Al-dente s pinach tagliatella bathed in pool of rich creamy carbonara sauce blanketed with duck egg. The sauce was in perfect consistency not too water nor thick, accompanied by condiments such as sliced mushroom and palatable smoked duck. Hubby and Sam polished it off effortlessly in a jiffy!
Nasi Goreng Bunga Kantan with Crispy Ayam Kampung (RM 24.00++)
My choice of fried rice was equally tantalizing too. Surrounded by prawn crackers, the fried rice was cooked with flower torch, lemongrass and long bean and topped with a sunny side up and shredded crispy fried chicken. The fried rice was fluffy with a faint whiff of the lemongrass and flower torch however I felt teeny-weeny disappointed to be honest as I was expected to see a piece of fried chicken instead of only shredded chicken >_<
Oh ya, the sambal chili served along was great which pack a nice fiery punch and went well with the fried rice!
Verdict: Overall, the food was pretty satisfying and the environment was something commendable too.

I like the arts on the wall – is it done with metal strings? Tagliatelle looks sumptuous !
Ya, made from metal string, impressive artwork indeed~
