Thyme Kiara @ Solaris Mont Kiara
It’s the season to be jolly! We’re all getting excited to celebrate as the overwhelmingly beautiful Christmas decor around us are multiplying and eateries are offering the patrons their once-in-a-year Christmas menu!
With a gang of friends, we had an early Christmas gathering at Thyme Kiara. Located at Solaris Mont Kiara (SOHO KL) which previously occupied by Blushh, the owner, Zyda took over the shop 3 months ago and renamed it Thyme Kiara.
It is a cozy place that adopted a simple white theme with a charming Mediterranean blue feature wall. Sparingly adorned with the Christmas decoration which added a special holiday sparkle to the whole ambiance.
Al fresco dining also available at Thyme Kiara facing the busy main road.
There are special Christmas promotion started from 25th November 2015 till 5th January 2016 at Thyme Kiara. The set menu is priced at RM108.00 nett per person and if there are 2 pax and above, the price will be RM188.00 nett for 2 pax and priced accordingly for additional pax.
Diners can choose to have mulled wine, red wine, white wine or mocktail.
For the starter, there are options of Bruschetta, Creamed Pumpkin Soup spiced with Ginger or Smoked Salmon Salad
Creamed Pumpkin Soup spiced with Ginger
It’s definitely a brilliant touch to infuse ginger into this creamy pumpkin soup. I enjoyed the sweetness from the pumpkin and a little kick of spiciness end note that well enough to leave a positive impression.
Smoked Salmon Salad
The crisp veggie was lightly accented by the tangy vinaigrette dressing and shaves of cheese. The thick huge slices of smoke Salmon provide a great satisfactory to the overall salad.
Mains ~ Traditional Oven Roasted Turkey
Took the center stage was this gigantic roasted whole turkey served with side dishes, chef crafted gravy and cranberry sauce. Look at this beautifully prepared turkey, I really can’t wait to dig in! For a group of 8 pax and above dining, a whole turkey with all the sides would be served.
The side dishes were very lovely too, we had Roasted Potatoes, Roasted Peppers, Roasted Parsnips, Glazed Carrots, Roasted Sweet Corn, Sweet Peas, Stir Fried Baby Bok Choy and Yorkshire Pudding.
The whole turkey (feed 8 pax) available for takeaway too. Priced at RM350 nett, comes with 3 sauces – Chef Crafted Gravy, Black Pepper and Cranberry Sauces
Additional add-ons – 5 sides for RM100 nett (Choose from Roasted Potatoes, Roasted Peppers, Roasted Parsnips, Glazed Carrots, Creamed Sweet Potatoes, Roasted Sweet Corn, Sweet Peas, Brussels Sprout, Yorkshire Pudding)
Reservations required for set menu and takeaway turkey at least 2 days in advance.
With the joyful Christmas songs at background, my mood was hitting the highest level. Great food and company, those definitely an essential for festive season celebration.
My main course of traditional roasted turkey with all the trimmings served with cranberry sauce and Chef’s crafted gravy.
To complete the Christmas meal, we had Christmas Pudding and coffee with mint.
Thyme Kiara is very thoughtful to prepare a kid’s menu (for kids below 12years old) priced at RM30.00 nett which consists of drink, main course and dessert.
Roasted Turkey Pizza
Creamy Turkey Pasta
Bangers And Mash with Gravy
Portion for the mains definitely more that enough for the kid. Taste wise, there was no complaint from the kids that day 😛
Brownies and Chocolate Sauce
Cheese Cake
Thyme Kiara is opened for both 25th Dec 2015 & 1st Jan 2016 from 11.00am till late.
Verdict: Friendly service, good food and great ambiance, I’ll come back for their regular menu!
