Weekends are definitely made for leisure and pleasure! So together with a few friends we had our casual meet up at Dondang Sayang Coffee House located in Corus Hotel for their weekend hi-tea on a beautiful Saturday.

Strategically located at KL city centre, Corus Hotel is only 9-minutes walk from the iconic KLCC Petronas Twin Tower and 2 km from Bukit Bintang’s shopping district. There are 4 dining eateries in Corus Hotel Kuala Lumpur – Dondang Sayang, Ming Palace, Komura & Kencana.

Dondang Sayang Coffee House is an all day dining outlet that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, night snack or anything in between. Ming Palace Chinese Restaurant, an award winning restaurant that offers fine authentic Szechuan and Cantonese cuisine. Komura Japanese Restaurant serves fine traditional Japanese cuisine while Kencana Lounge & Cellar perfect for pre-dinner drinks or venue for an all-night long party.

Located at the atrium lobby with capacity up to 220 diners, Dondang Sayang Coffe House boasts a simple yet comfortable interior. The rather large space if full of soothing earthy tone and I especially adore the glass windows facing the busy street which allow ample of natural light beaming through.

The coffee house has recently launched its newly revamped weekend hi-tea features 4 different themes namely Tradisi Nusantara, Spices of India, Country Western and Chinese Street Food which are rotated every weekend. Available from 12.30pm till 4.00pm every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday, priced at only RM65.00 net for adult and RM39.00 net for child.

The theme was Tradisi Nusantara when we was there which showcased delightful dishes from our neighbouring countries such as Brunei and Indonesia. The buffet spread was fairly decent, choices available included staple food of Kampung Fried Rice, Nasi Kandar, Fried Noodles, various of curries, vegetables dishes, Sotong Bakar Dengan Sambal Mangga, Ayam Panggang Madu Bali Barongan, Nyonya Asam Pedas Fish and many more.
