Homemade Mooncakes by Ee Chinese Cuisine @ Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya

Time flies and the season to indulge mooncakes and time for family & friends gathering is approaching. I had my first taste of mooncakes this year at Ee Chinese Cuisine @ Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya. This year Ee Chinese Cuisine have prepared an assortment of delectable baked and snow skin mini mooncakes  as they have always do each year.

Savor the traditional Baked Assorted Fruits & Nuts, Pure Lotus Paste with Double Yolk, Low Sugar White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, Red Bean Paste, Pure Lotus Paste and Pearl of Harmony.  Mini Snow Skin Series offers Crystal Corn Paste with Custard, Green Tea Paste with Single Yolk, Blueberry Paste and Durian Paste.

 

The traditional oven baked mooncakes always have its supporters. They are pretty well made, the lotus paste filling has good amount of sweetness and with lovely fragrance. For health conscious connoisseurs, the low sugar version definitely can fit the criteria to allow guests to savor the delicacies during this festive season.

The brittle skin is simply melt-in-your mouth and I adored the combination of creamy red bean paste coupled with luscious salted egg yolk~

 

Mini mooncakes have been gaining its own fan base and popularity in recent years in view of its exquisite, petite appearance and its easy consumption pattern.

Made its debut on last year to commemorate the Hotel’s 15^th year anniversary celebration and make a glorious return this year to intoxicate the durian lovers! Generously filled with durian flesh, each bite sent me to cloud nine. Trust me, one will definitely not enough!

Mooncakes are on sale at Ee Chinese Cuisine @ Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya from 4 August – 8 September 2014 for take away and dine-in as well. Delivery service is available for a minimum order of 20 boxes within the Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur area. Delivery charges of RM80.00 for Petaling Jaya and RM 14.00 for Kuala Lumpur apply. Customization service will be offered on complimentary basic with a purchase of 15 boxes.
