Umami Cafe, a little cafe nestled at K-Gallery, Bandar Menjalara, same buiding as Deutsches Gasthaus 5.
A cozy cafe with paintings & ornaments adorned the bright walls.
Bean bags & low tables.
Comfortable sofas.
Smoking area, chic!
We opted for the set lunch, RM 9.90 / set included mains & drink.
Coffee & Green Tea
Ramen
Springy ramen in savory broth served with half of a hard boil egg, pork belly slices (2pcs), chopped scallions & some dried seaweed. Serving was rather small, perhaps it’s set meal?
Gyoza
Come with the ramen set. Mediocre & nothing to shout about 😛
Omurice
Drenched in slightly sweet gravy, this omurice definitely not to my liking. I prefer fried rice was used instead of plain white rice.
Verdict: Food was far from being impressive in my books but I’ve read some good reviews about this cafe, maybe I should give it a second chance by trying on the ala-carte menu?
