After Rain Cafe @ Bandar Sri Damansara
This cafe has been on radar for some time since my friend have rather good comment on their food and desserts. We’re glad that we finally get to visit After Rain Cafe recently and had a quite satisfying lunch session there, a hidden gem that I want to share with you guys~
Located in Bandar Sri Damansara, After Rain Cafe is a neighbourhood cafe that offers a delectable range of Western food such as sandwiches, salads, soups, brunch, pasta, rice, main course as well as good selections of vegetarian dishes. The menu isn’t really ample but doesn’t disappoint on both taste and presentation.

We were greeted by this Instagrammable rainbow feature wall once we pushed open the glass door, it definitely took center stage on the overall interior design.

Egg Benedict (RM17.00)
Hubby got this Egg Benedict from the brunch selection with bacon and two 63°C sous vide egg crowning a toasted Ciabatta, doused with Hollandaise sauce. The sous vide egg was perfectly done with molten egg yolk and when combined with the savoury bacon and creamy Hollandaise, it is indeed truly beautiful in every bite! Also served on the plate was hash brown and salad. The price certainly justifiable with the generous portion.

Mango Curry Chicken Chop (RM17.00)
I opted for this Mango Curry Chicken Chop that attracted my attention among the other two options of Fish and Chips (RM17.00) and Turkey Ham Cheesy Chicken Chop (RM18.00) in the main course selection.
To my delight, the mango curry sauce was served separately as I don’t like my chicken chop drenched with sauce rendering the wet and soggy skin. The chicken chop was nicely pan fried with golden crispy skin and succulent meat, topped with thin mango slices. The flavour of the mango curry sauce was unique. It was a lovely marriage of curry spices and refreshing fruity note of the mango. Both flavours blended harmoniously which created a tasty flavour to complement the chicken chop. The dish was accompanied by side dishes of potato wedges and salad.

Italian Herb & Pork Bacon (RM15.00)
Sam as usual had his favourite tomato base pasta. The flavour was rather run-of-the-mill but Sam enjoyed the generous amount of bacon and sprinkles of cheese. There are a few choices of pasta in the menu including Italian Herb, Aglio Olio, Classic Carbonara and Thai Basil Pesto Genovese with a list of add on such as Bacon, Wild Mushroom, Grilled Chicken (RM15.00), Grilled Norwegian Salmon (RM23.00) and Shrimp, Fried Fish Fillet (RM18.00). Their house pasta list seem quite promising too, check out the V.S.O.P Hennessy Spicy Clam Vongole Pasta, special right?
Verdict: It is a pleasant space for dining with good food and wallet friendly price range. I saw my friend shared about their cakes too which looked really delectable, next round perhaps.
