Ra-Ft @ Sierramas

My revisit to Ra-Ft was 3 years after my first visit to their Lorong Binjai, KL outlet. This round we chose their Sierramas outlet which is respectively nearer to us.

With unknown reasons, I only have one photo of the cafe’s interior. T_T

As you can see, the table setting was well adherence to the SOPs with a lot of room between the tables. The cafe receives great illumination of natural light from the surrounded glass windows. It’s a rather comfortable atmosphere partnered with minimalist setting and music at the background.

Al-fresco seating overlooking the trees and plants.

The extensive menu offers many savoury and sweet dishes that ensures everyone will find something to tickle their taste bud.

We were there for brunch/earlier lunch at about 11am+, with 3-4 groups of customer were waiting for their food, and our food arrived longer than expected (almost 45 minutes). Do you think this is reasonable? ◔_◔

Long Black (RM8.00)

Avocado, Mushroom & Asparagus Toast (RM28.00)

This is on of the options of their My Ra-Ft Toast, with choices of multi grain,gluten-free or coffee sourdough. Fully crowned with balsamic sauteed mushrooms, grilled asparagus and rocket with balsamic vinegar drizzles, on coffee sourdough spread with avocado puree.

The topping was unquestionably generous as per seen. Mushrooms and asparagus were cooked just nice, retained a good mouthfeel (which was not too squashy) and the seasoning was light and the overall flavour was uplifted by the balsamic vinegar drizzles.

Ra-Ft Breakfast (RM33.00)

Yes, someone was getting the same old dish like our previous visit. ◔̯◔

The breakfast platter consisted of bacon, choices of pork/chicken sausage, egg of your choice, smashed potatoes, butter mushrooms, homemade bread, gratinated tomato and baked beans. The pork sausage still the pièce de résistance in the platter, juicy and flavourful but other components were pretty standard though.

Chicken Pizzaiola (RM29.00)

A huge piece of freshly fried breaded chicken breast topped with ham, tomato sauce and Mozzarella cheese, served with fries. Perhaps not enough marinade or seasoning rendering the chicken breast to be pretty bland on its own but luckily the appetizing tomato sauce and cheese kick the flavour up a notch. Texture wise, although not as dry as expected but still dry, LOL.

Their in-house roasting facility with a unit of handsome coffee roasting machine.

♥Verdict: Hits and misses on the food but overall it was a good option if you want a comfortable dining place but be warned of the long waiting time for food. I like good selection in the menu and if you like variety, you may try out Ra-Ft too.

  • All the food there looks really appetising and presentable too.

I am particularly attracted by the Sweet Tooth section and the gluten free cake. Yum!

  • Yeah, I heard about this branch that was opened some time ago…their biggest since rent should be much cheaper at this location. After eating numerous times at their Binjai outlet, I also tried Mont Kiara outlet but realised their original outlet was still the best. 45 mins is too long to wait for your food (normally) but then again many places probably scaled down on their staff due to the ongoing pandemic and the uncertainty of business, so I guess it’s acceptable for now.

    • Kris, I will try their Mont Kiara outlet if I plan to visit them again because it is quite near to me as well.
Maybe you’re right, they probably cut down the amount of their staff since I visited during the early October which dine in was just opened.
