Lady Yi’s Tea House @ Four Points by Sheraton, Chinatown, K.L

I only remembered the photos of afternoon tea session with my mom and family at Four Points by Sheraton, Chinatown still sitting in my archive when I passed by the hotel en route to bought some egg tarts from Bunn Choon on last Sunday.

I had this on last year November, so honestly, I cannot remember the taste of every items of the afternoon tea set but one thing I can safely say is, the food was not on a stellar level. Although the food wasn’t mind blowing, the charming and elegant interior made up for the shortcoming.

We had their signature Peranakan Affair Afternoon Tea, priced at RM168+ for two persons. Available daily from 2pm to 6pm.

There was a list of Roleaf Tea to be chosen such as Elegant Earl Grey, Bai Mudan, Fruitilicious, Lady Yi’s Signature Blend “11 Treasures”, just to name a few.

Latte (additional order)

The food was served with delicate Peranakan porcelain tableware with vibrant decorative motifs.

  • Since you mentioned the food is not stellar, I focussed on the photos you took instead. Two amused me…one was the lady in white (like falling asleep coz the food is so boring? lol) and the two ‘gentlemen?’ (instead of ladies or couples) enjoying afternoon tea and taking photos of food (a rare scene…haha). And your hubby’s coffee got served in a cup more suitable for English tea (I see this afternoon tea came with Chinese tea and not English tea). I usually find hotel’s version of sweet things for afternoon tea not up to the level of good cafes cum bakeries.

  • Kris, you really have sharp eyes! That lady, I really didn’t know what happen, maybe that’s one of her relax pose when enjoying her gossip session with her friend? That two gentlemen, they took quite a lot of photos (just like me) before they started to tucked in.

  • I can use some of those sandwich for breakfast now.
